There are so many little gems in Bloomington, Indiana and this is one of them. Unique menu items, chose Irish. There are better places in town to get a fabulous steak. But if you are a Scotch drinker, you will be able to chose something you've never had before.

My husband and I were in town for a wedding reception so we looked for restaurants within walking distance of our hotel. We narrowed down our options to 3 places and ultimately decided on The Irish Lion. We are so glad we did! The menu options were varied and different from what many restaurants offer. My husband started with a... More

Recently visited here and ordered the traditional corned beef and cabbage. What a wonderful dish! I wasn't sure if I would even like it but it was delicious and I was most pleasantly surprised. I also ordered the hot toddy since it was a cold winter day but it wasn't to my liking. I can't say if it was authentic... More

Mixed review. My prime rib was good but not great. My wife had the New York strip. She could not cut it with a steak knife. Service was slow but friendly. Took forever to get the second beer 🍻. The whiskey pie was to die for.

This restaurant is near the town square and offers indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is varied and offers burgers/sandwiches all the way to outstanding main entrees. Our food was delicious and we recommend this restaurant.

First trip to this restaurant and I ordered a Rueben sandwich with fries. The corned beef and sauerkraut on rye was great and the fries were well seasoned.

Visited The Irish Lion after going to antique mall. Very neat atmosphere, lots of history. The server told us a little about the building and gave us a pamphlet with the history of the pub. Food was good, we went late afternoon and it wasn't busy on a Tuesday. It was an enjoyable experience.

We met two other couples here and were crammed into an uncomfortable wooden booth in the back of the restaurant. Even with that poor start to our experience we still had a good time. We had read about this place in a book about Indiana's Best Places to Eat. So we recommended it to our group (which another couple resoundingly... More
