More Chinese then anything, too much MSG in my opinion. Restaurant is advertised as Vietnamese, but could not be further. It is a fusion of Chinese and I don't know what. The beef salad was drenched in oil, and did not taste of anything. The...green chicken curry was ordinary and little if no sauce. Worse was I could not sleep all night from the MSG. Service was OK, nothing impressive, clean toilets.More
Amazing place, great food and extremely polite service. Located just next to the tram it’s very accessible.
Worst experience ever! We arrived at 18h00 sharp, as we had checked that the restaurant was due to open at 18h00. There was also a hand written (not so professional) note on the door confirming it would open at 18h00. BUT THE DOOR WAS CLOSED...and locked...we called, someone answered immediately, and at our question as to "are you open?"...the answer was "eeeeeeeeeeerrrr....come back in like a half an hour!". AS IF IT WAS THE MOST NATURA AND NORMAL THING IN THE WORLD. "So, the note on the door that you open at 18h00???"...."yes, yes, but come again in 30 minutes or so". Of course we did not come back in like half an hour, of course we were upset, and of course all of us will post a bad bad bad review, cause honestly, if that is the respect they treat their clients with, I do not want to know what respect they show regarding the quality of the food they serve. Worst customer experience ever. No respect, no appreciation, no EXCUSE For Them.More
Vietnam has a great a la carte menu but it's Sunday buffet is one of the city's best, in both variety and quality. The range of dishes is impressive and includes two soups, two salads, and sushi. The offerings aren't strictly Vietnamese but more recognisably...Chinese (although the platter of french fries perhaps panders a bit too much to diners unfamiliar with Asian cuisines). The batter-fried vegetables were perfect: crunchy, light, without a hint of grease, the rice noodles firm, while my partner pronounced the duck outstanding (there are also beef and chicken dishes, egg rolls, fried rice, etc. plus fruit, various sweets, and ice cream for dessert). The buffet was continuously replenished to keep up with the stream of customers. Vietnam's dining room is the perfect setting, both indoors and the sheltered/enclosed patio. The only flaw: not enough floor staff so ordering drinks and getting the bill is not as smooth as the food replenishment.More
I loved the food. I had the steamed dumplings as a starter and the Szechuan beef with vegetarian fried rice as the main dish. The white wine was also great.
Nice location, not far away from the sea of Palaio Faliro. You can reach it through tram too as the tram station is near. There is no restaurant parking but you can find easy to park for free. Internal decoration sympatic but not very modern...Staff very polite. Open buffet on Sunday in good price and with various plates nice cooked.More
Great interior design of the place. They don't serve purely Vietnamese food since perhaps some of the locals wouldn't be used to the flavours. Its meant to suit a bit more to the western people. Overall the food is great, love the flavours. A lot...of people mistake Asian cuisine to chinese; especially in Greece. This restaurant has a variety of cuisines which includes Chinese itself. They should consider having some Thai, Korean. Very pleased with service even though it can be better, like replace water bottles and checking up on our dishes a bit more often. Smile and welcome customers a bit more so they don't just stand there waiting for too long.More
I used to dine there almost 20 years ago. The place is not derelict but it shows some age though its still cosy and the chill out music is a plus. The service was neutral, not impolite but not a smile either, perhaps due to...the late hour in a mid week day they were a little tired. We had 3 dishes, 2 soups and the puns. Everything seemed to be already prepared giving that familiar greek chinese taste that most restaurants serving this kitchen in Athens have. The noodles were a bit sewn together and the pineapple chicken was blunt. The beaf dish was ok but the mushroom soup was too thick making me wonder what they were using for broth. Definately can improve to its original standards.More
Great place to have a Sunday lunch with the family. Big buffet. They even have sushi. Very friendly environment. The kids love it here.
Very beautiful traditional Chinese decoration with delicious food and amazingly kind staff. I strongly recommend Sweet and Sour Chicken and Beijing Duck as well. Also, don't hesitate ordering a traditional Chinese rice beer ... its very good!
We had a very good meal here Can recommend it and certainly will go back. The service was very friendly and fast. Food Just as Asian Food should be. We enjoyed the duck.
Short walk from the sea front, tram stop right outside. Lovely food friendly staff average prices reasonable would visit again
It was our first time experience eating Asian food in Athens. Even that this food is far away from Greek cuisine, the fact that it is made in Greece promises to have fresh and high quality ingredients needed even for the Asian meals. Both interior...and exterior were made with respect to Asian countries with pagoda-type of entrance, tropical nature, aquarium full of exotic fish and of course Asian dishes served in the restaurant. Even that the name of this restaurant is Vietnam, it is hard to call it as purely Vietnamese place as its both decor and served food aren't purely Vietnamese. It has Chinese chow mein, Japanese sushi and Vietnamese fresh veggie rolls. We ordered fried spring rolls (4 euros), chicken Chow Mein (7 euros) and rice with beef (7 euros). For desert, we ordered fried ice-cream (5 euros). All together was 25 euros with tips. Even that the price was high, we were more than satisfied with tasty food and very polite service of this place. In addition, it happened that we were the only people in the restaurant, which made us feel very private in such a beautiful place!More
I come back to Athens every two years to visit family. This is a restaurant we visit every time. It is across the street from my Yiayia's. The good and service is impeccable. The restaurant always clean. The people are very nice.
