Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We like to visit this lovely restaurant regularly. In the winter seating inside is great as you can watch the pizzas being cooked in the traditional wood fire. In the summer you can dine on the terrace at the back. The restaurant is a place...you might just drive pass as it is nothing special to look at but the food is always great, the staff are really friendly and prices are amazingly cheap. We have tried nearly everything on the menu and have not been disappointed. I would recommend booking as they do get busy even in the winter but if you don't they will always try and accommodate you.More

We visit this restaurant every year and it just seems to get better and better without a price hike. 5 of us turned up for saturday dinner and we had not booked. The terrace had been reserved but nothing was too much trouble and we...were seated. We all ate every bit and watched the pizza's being freshly made in front of our eyes. Our children love the extensive ice cream menu too. One of our favourite restaurants in the area. 5 meals, desserts and drinks including wine for 75 euros!More

We booked a midweek evening table for five after hearing good reports from our gite hosts. We explained, in French, that the vegan in our party would still like to eat a pizza, even though there was nothing offered on the menu. The waiter spoke enough...English to reassure us that they could cater for this request and served up a pizza with a variety of vegetables on a tomato base. While it would have been nice to have artichokes or something more imaginative as a topping, it was great to have a proper meal along with the other diners rather than just chips or a green salad. Vegans will know how tough France is for eating out! The other pizzas were lovely and well priced. There was plenty of topping and the dough was slightly sweeter than we're used to but the overall verdict was a thumbs up. Check out the specials on the boards around the dining room too. The teenagers recommend the banana split and sorbets with chantilly cream and I really liked their idea of a coffee with three tiny desserts. All in all a successful evening meal.More

When going to a pizzaria, you really don't expect 'la haute cuisine', but a fairly large choice of different and crisp pizze to which the menu refers in the French plural version as 'pizzas'. This restaurant offers no less than 16 pizza variations (!) ranging...from 7.50 € to 10,00 €. On top of that you can choose from 4 'entrées', 4 Bruschette (to which the menu refers as 'Bruchettas' - a starter consisting of grilled bread rubbed with garlic and topped with olive oil and salt with tvarious toppings at choice), 6 different salads, 5 spaghetti dishes, 1 lasagne, but also an Entrecôte and French fries to go along. A daily changing 'Plat du Jour' together with 1/4 ltr. wine at 8.00 € is also available. But what surprised me most: I never visited a restaurant in France where 1 full litre of either red or rosé wine, from the pitcher of course, cost as low as only 6,00 €, 1/2 ltr at 3,80 €. Bottled wine - we ordered a rosé 'Vin du Périgord' at 10 €, which is a country wine from the region that has not been qualified as AOC Bergerac. As only bottled red or rosé was offered, I wondered why no white wine at all, either from the pitcher or bottled was on offer, which might account for my 'average' overall classification of this resaurant. The terrace overlooking the parking lot offered comfortable (plastic) chairs with armrests (!) which I prefer. I ordered a pizza prociutto, my friends the plat du jour which was 'poulet basquaise'. As we ordered a bottled wine, my friends did not receive each the 1/4 ltr wine which actually was included, in the 8 €, but were charged the this amount, nevertheless. Perhaps the service personnel thought that 1 bottle for 4 people was enough. I received a pizza which tasted well, but the bottom of which really was not as crispy as I expected. As we were th first customers for lunch, the pizza oven wasn't perhaps hot enough and they did not want us to wait for too long. Together with us were about some 30-35 people. We had made a reservation which I suggest to all those who intend to give this restaurant a try. Ideal family restaurant and for large reunions with friends, as at 6 € a litre wine, nobody, even the wallet of the host, risk to 'run dry'. I should have ordered an Armagnac, a Calvados or rather a Grappa at 3.50 € as a digestive, then my overall rating would have perhaps included one additional star.More

In the small village of Gardonne, just west of Bergerac, you will find this pizzeria where the pizza is made the way it should be made, in a wood burning oven. The food is excellent, the prices minimal, and the staff know exactly what service...is. Only drawback - be sure to book a table. To be met with "sorry, we are full" is not a nice experience.More

Pizzas here are thin and crispy with the right amount of toppings. The service is excellent, but Joelle does have a sense of humor. If you don't realize, she could appear rude. It's my favorite restaurant in Bergerac area. Try the blue cheese salad.

Booked a table for eight family members because the weather was too bad to have a picnic. We were "welcomed" with we don't cater for disabled! What they meant was that the access was poor both from the car park and the door from the...main road. Smiles were not exactly order of the day. Pizza oven was quite interesting but I have my doubts that using planks of wood for firewood was the best thing to use. Decor was plain but clean and tidy. The Pizzas are not too expensive - 10 euros for the most expensive. However, they don't really have much of a topping. The base was soggy in the middle and parts of the outside over cooked. To be honest one of the pizza chains would beat this place hands down on service and food. I noted that the majority of people using this restaurant were British and not French. I ask myself why? One redeeming factor - the gourmet coffee was excellent. Shame about everything else. Cost for eight people with drinks was 122 euros so not too expensive - they just could try a bit harder to smile and not be so mean with the toppings.More

Unassuming appearance but good value lunch: choice of pizza at c 9euros or dish of the day for 8e including wine!!( often a good steak and chips). Has a terrace and parking to the back, look out for the turning in. From Bergerac it's on...the main road on RHS a few shops before the main traffic lights in Gardonne. You won't see its name... Always busy.More

There aren't many places to eat in Gardonne but this popular pizzeria is worth a visit. Decent pizzas. Cool red wine at €6 a litre is very nice. Desserts are ice cream and sorbets. Wifi.

We ate here twice during our holiday enjoying everything we had including the delicious deserts! The restaurant has a dining area at the back which made for a nice surprise. The first night we ate here it was very busy but the staff were very...accommodating and managed to squeeze us in. We booked after that and would recommend this. If ever we return to this part of France we would definitely eat here again!More
