I love this place SO much. The husband and I come here as often as possible. My kids.. not so much! They do, however, love the nachos. Today we had a recession tamale, a green chicken, and a combo with green pork tamale and hot salsa and black beans. The kids had steak nachos. *Which they tore up!! In the... More

I had heard so many positive comments about the Tamale Place, I drove all the way from Bloomington to give it a try. Really delicious tamales and rice, but the salsa is definitely heavy with cilantro. A little on the pricey side, but the tamales are soooo delicious. Would recommend to anyone in search of authentic Mexican cuisine!

Stumbled on this place and what a treat. The best tamales ever! The spicy chicken was spicy and tasty and wrapped in a banana leaf. The chipolte beef was tasty and my daughter inhaled her pork in green sauce. The quanities of each type of tamale are limited, so be open. I had to get out of my comfort zone... More

Love the nachos and the tortas. But nothing makes my freezer and me happier than a large bag of tamals to eat after work or on an evening when we don't want to cook.

Not in a nice area, but just like their motto says - the good stuff is on the inside! Great tamales. Staff is surprisingly friendly.

Small restaurant and not very fancy but the tamales are to die for! You walk up to the order counter and there is a monitor on the right which will tell you what kind of tamales they have and how many of each are left. Tell the person taking your order what you want and a few minutes later prepare... More

If you want authentic Mexican tamales this is the place, pork, chicken and beef with red or green sauce mild or spicy, but there is a lot more than tamales, the steak chicken or chorizo nachos are the absolute best you can find anywhere, and don't forget to take some fresh made daily guacamole and chips. They have tortas also... More

Really enjoyed the food here. The tacos were exceptional. Not the best tamale I have ever had but pretty darn good.

Came here as out of towners based on positive reviews on Tripadvisor and Yelp. We were very underwhelmed by the food. Very bare bones inside, all food is served in take out containers even if you are dining in - made for a lot of waste with so much Styrofoam and plastics being thrown away. They need to consider the... More
