Maxines is a little gem that we would have overlooked if a friend had not recommended Maxines for lunch. The French Onion Soup was scrumptious. Maxines salad was delicious. My friend had a blackened salmon wrap that looked amazing. Everything was very fresh and higher quality than most restaurants. The server was attentive and friendly. The prices are very reasonable.... More

On very short notice our family made a reservation for 28 to finish off our family wedding/reunion weekend. We were given a private room with no restrictions on the menu and we had \ wonderful meals. Our server was patient and helpful, friendly and efficient.

It is very rare for me to actually go online and write a review but after our experience, I thought I should so others don't waste their money eating here. My mom, sisters and I needed a place to eat after picking up my sister from train and Maxine's was close by. It is one of the worst places I... More

We enjoyed a leisurely dinner at Maxines this week. It wasn't crowded, but we were welcomed and seated quickly. Cocktails came quickly and were well done. Server did a great job of telling us about specials, and gave us time to relax and look over the menu. After our salads (meh, just ordinary bag-o-lettuce type salads) she kindly asked if... More

We were visiting Michigan City staying at a B & B. The owner of the B & B suggested Maxine's for dinner. The downtown atmosphere and inside decorations along with great food is worth the visit.

We were here as two couples, the menu is a little expensive but the food was delicious. The jazzy atmosphere was wonderful. Great for taking someone on a date. Would come back again!
