A traditional looking, privately owned pub with a large restaurant serving very, very good quality grills (with Scottish aged beef a signature menu item), seafood (fresh lobster another speciality), an expanding fresh vegetarian menu and many other meals. Five star, 'excellent'rated for hygiene and recognised for serving first quality local ales and cider being one of the only free-houses in the area. Also a wonderful sun-trap terrace and very child friendly staff. Large car park, booking advisable.
We’ve been regulars since it opened and never had a duff meal or experience, even since it changed hands.
If anything the food has improved - slightly smaller portions and better salad.
Great food, good service, nice range of beers. Good all round.
