The coffee wasn't bad, but my daughter's tea was tainted. It was replaced without fuss, but they forgot the cup. The French toast was good, but all the toppings were separated on the side and it was a self assembly job. The burger was top...More

It is some 10 months since my last review of this neighbourhood gem. Since then my wife and I have been back numerous times but mainly for a late lunch. The most recent was for dinner on a Saturday. The evening menu, unlike that for...More

Five of us dined here on a cold and wet Wednesday evening but it was warm inside even though the restaurant is quite large. Lots of parking directly outside. Menu was extensive with a range of starters from Garlic and herb focaccia ($5-50) to a...More

A return visit with a new menu and some lovely specials. Excellent winter soups. Staff very helpful and efficient. Service really good. TIP It gets very busy on the weekends, do prebooking is a good idea. Coffees are excellent. A delight to visit.

This is a favourite go to for breaky in the suburbs. Lots of parking at the doorstep, good disabled access, families, couples, solo... all good. Good quality food and great coffee. Very busy on weekends.

I've had almost everything on the menu and have NEVER been disappointed. Some of the things are a bit pricey but you are getting quality at the end of the day. Parking is very convenient and the service is quick. Beats going to the congested...More

Always good coffee and food at the Runaway Spoon served by pleasant staff. Always seems busy but why not, it's popular for a good reason. Everyone keeps coming back !

After paying $25 dollars for one coffee bread stripes, 2 poached eggs that were tasting pure vinegar the only good thing about this breakfast was the bacon. Very expensive for what offers, very noisy place as well. I won't be coming back

I was thinking of visiting this cafe with my 7 year old son who is a coeliac so I phoned to check that the fries that state they are coeliac friendly were exactly that. I was told that you use the same oil to cook all of your other foods which are not all gluten free. If this is the case then why do you state you have coeliac friendly options????????

Sorry I have not the faintest idea about the fries. Fortunately, I am able to eat anything. If you really want to go there I suggest your little boy doesn't have the fries. I would think this would be the same in... More
