We arrived at Blackout on a Saturday night to find the place packed and loud. A live singer played her guitar, and we were shown to our table, tight up against the bar. The service was very fast, and the food was all great in...More

So I admit I was there early on a Thursday so that changed the atmosphere as I was the only person in there. The place didn't have a great feel and the lady on staff was far from welcoming making me feel almost uncomfortable to...More

Potential to be great, just needs more customers. Locals need to support to keep this great little bar going. Food still good.

Did not have the Chardonnay on the list, calamari was so bad we took one bite and sent it back, the pizza was sent back as well, cold satay sauce, everything was frozen food, the only thing worthwhile was the espresso martini. The person in...More

Service is slow. Food is average - nothing wrong but nothing to rave about. Nice setting but the service really lets them down.

It's sad but Sydney's Upper North Shore is not a great area for a fun, funky night at a bar. There are a few places that thrive (e.g. Kipling's at Turramurra)...but The Blackout at Lindfield is not one of them. Friday night and there were...More

New management has really turned the place around. More beers on tap. Live music is back plus great place to catch up on olympics.

Description
El Capitano is a modern, contemporary dining restaurant located in Lindfield, NSW. Australia. The restaurant has been in lindfield since 1998, it just underwent a renovation and redesign of a new modern kitchen. The bar has a very modern brick look, one of its kind in Sydney. The restaurant has been owned by Chef Kunal and Restaurateur Ana Luisa since 2017 and during that time it has evolved considerably, both in food and wine experience. Today, the restaurant offers Modern A La Carte, Tapas and testing menu in the dining room for dinner but guests can also visit the bar for a more abbreviated tasting menu, some light snacks, or for our famous cocktails or glass of wine. The restaurant also serves breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday. All menus are based on local produce, healthy and a modern dining experience.
