My co-workers and I have been coming here regularly for about 2yrs for lunch. Never have we ever had bad food or service. We are promptly seated and our food arrives in a timely manner. The French onion soup is the best I have ever had. The sandwiches are all delish and love the haricots vert. Very affordable for lunch.... More

I happened upon this restaurant because it appeared to very quiet, elegant and welcoming, and it worked for me, the ambience was quiet and serene although the place is big and busy, I sat at the bar and was waited on immediately, the hostess Kim was warm and greeted me was a smile and carried on a conversation which was... Café Navarre is located downtown in a 1920s bank building, a very attractive location. The menu is varied, the food good and the service very good indeed. The only problem is the noise level when there is a good crowd in certain locations where the ceiling is lower.

Every part of this restaurant is first rate. The bar area is airy and delightful. The booths and tables have a nice feeling also. Drinks and food couldn't be better. Try the mushroom soup.

On regular visits I bounce around the top rated SB places, but when I really want a nice dinner, this is the place I find myself returning to. Head and shoulders better cuisine than its neighbor also known for fine dining. The food really is well thought out, creative, and would stand up against high quality restaurants in any major... An upscale restaurant in the heart of downtown South Bend. Unique appetizers and entrees, full wine list and micro beers on tap, an attentive wait staff, make this a true dining experience. Come dine in an old bank building for a rich experience!

We came for a football weekend and tried Cafe Navarre. So great! I've had duck all over the world and this was the best I've had. It's a very happening place as well and the service was great. Definitely worth the visit!

This is one of my favorite places in South Bend. I took my Belgian friend who is quite a food snob and he called it the best restaurant he has eaten at in all of Michiana. The wine list, cocktails, presentation and interesting food choices will keep me returning regularly. The bar up front is friendly and efficient with all... More

We were in town for the ND game and stayed Sunday. We were looking for a great restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday. Cafe Navarre lived up to its great reputation by outstanding waitstaff service and unbelievably delicious food. Great cocktail selection. I had the Shamrock Spritzer. Besides the salads, we tried the small plate of roasted cauliflower. Couldn't believe... More

Cafe Navarre is a good choice for many reasons. In warm weather it is nice to be able to sit outside in an urban setting. The inside setting is comfortable for special occasions, group dinners with friends, or dinner before downtown events. The menu changes seasonally as well as being constantly tweaked by the chef. Very good choices. The servers... More
