On a recent trip to Jasper-Pulaski Fish and Wildlife Area, to photograph Sandhill Cranes. After a 5 hour drive dinner sounded like a great idea, my travel buddy, Bill mentioned 3 Floyds Brewing Co. located in Munster, IN famous for their IPA’s (India pale ale) but the 2-hour wait, coupled with the 1-hour drive, killed those plans. So we ended... More

My wife and I went to don Quijote's last week on Friday night. We had not been there for quite a while. We were treated to authentic Spanish cuisine and an enjoyable atmosphere. Our waiter was attentive and was not afraid to ask for assistance when he was unsure of the wine that would satisfy both of us. They have... More

From the moment we walked in we knew it was someplace special. To be around as long as they have one trip showed us why. From the hospitality PLUS to the amazing small plates, entrees and of course DESSERT! I have been craving a trip back since we left.

We enjoyed a dinner for 12 on a Saturday evening in October. There were 6 couples. The waiter and the restaurant did a great job fulfilling all of our needs and wants. We each ordered off of the menu with our different beverages and slight changes to the dish on the menu. The food came out at the same time... More

The cream of zucchini was excellent but the gaspacho was nothing to write home about. The food was ok but We enjoyed the bread and butter just as much. Probably would not return.

I know many people have given this restaurant 5 stars. I can't. We visited RDQ for the paella and it simply didn't meet expectations. The 2 missing components were the lack of the crusty bottom (socarrat) and, we couldn't taste the saffron. The dish wasn't yellow...it was orange. My wife called it Rice-a-Roni with fish. Our tapas experience was limited... More

Tons of choices. I wasn't familiar with Spanish dishes so went for a combination platter that had a bit of everything. Great choice. The atmosphere is cozy and unique with pleasant service. Will definitely be back when i'm in Valparaiso again.

This place should be great. It has character, it has passionate owners, and the cuisine is unique and becoming much trendier (even though this place has been here a long time). The location is fantastic, it has outdoor seating in good weather... it has everything it should take to be great. But it is usually not great. I have been... More

This is an authentic Spanish Food - can't get better that this anywhere locally, including Chicago area. We miss Spanish food( we are from Spain); thank God Don Quixote is within our reach. Carlos the Chef is very personable - checks on the customers and takes time chatting with you. If you are fortunate to be there during the Flamenco... More

Description
Don Quijote Restaurant, the heart of Spain in the heart of Valparaiso. We have been ahead of the "Tapas" trend for the last 26 years!! Serving Spanish cuisine since 1985 and featuring over two dozen different tapas, including, Octopus, Galician style meat pastries and the traditional "Tortilla Espanola", Spanish potato omelet. Our menu doesn"t stop there, but goes on to feature an array of tantalizing entrees, from fresh seafood, like Swordfish and Salmon to succulent Castilian style roast Lamb. The food is sure to please and fortify any traveler who might be roming the countryside. The National dish of Spain is the Paella, and we offer four different versions: Marinera, Vegetarian, Black and Valenciana. Delicious Homemade desserts round out our extensive menu. Our decor, complete with street lamps an a fountain, will transport you, to any out door cafe in Spain. "INDIANA'S ONLY SPANISH RESTAURANT"
