Their Bento Box lunches are reasonably priced and you get so much great food ! A wonderful Japanese treat for lunch!

I can't begin to describe how horrible our group's experience was at Three Samurai this past weekend. Our reservation for 8 people was made three weeks in advance. Our group arrived early for our reservation, but were not seated for nearly 40 minutes past our reservation. Several inquiries were made with the hostess as to why it was taking so... More

Lunch at Three Samurai is a real treat - the bento box is a fantastic meal!! The box comes with soup, salad, California rolls, tempura, and your choice of entre. A lot of food, a lot of variety, and a great price.

We chose 3 Samurai for a family dinner out last night--or tried to choose them. Our 10 year old son is a picky eater but had been there previously and said he loved the cheeseburger, which meant the rest of us could enjoy an Asian meal without worrying him being unhappy. Well there's no kids' menu, no cheeseburger on the... More

Enjoyed the Pho and the prime rib and shrimp roll. Menu on Monday night is limited to sushi and soup but I enjoyed a very satisfying meal accompanied by a nice chardonnay.

I guess I was expecting more, but the menu was really small and the sushi rolls kind of fishy tasting - and I'm a sushi freak. It didn't compare well to others, but maybe was ok for the area. The grilled ahi tuna appetizer was delicious, though. Service was meh.

A co-worker and I stopped by for lunch last week. We were in a hurry as we had to be back in under an hour. After mentioning this to the waiter, the service was fast! We each had a bento box, which of course, are the best in the Iowa City area. We each also had a sushi roll. The... More

I went with my family on a Friday night. Restaurant was half empty, but service was still slow. The waitress that took care of our table was very polite and explaining why was taking so long to our food to come. The food is good, but not a five star. Also the ventilation is not working so well. You leave... More

Ordered a few appetizers before the sushi - although all should have been served warm/hot - they were served cold - and were very unappealing. Sushi didn't seem fresh at all - taste was bland - not a lot of flavor. Staff was rude and never checked on us - and they were not busy - We were in town... More

We got to the restaurant at 1 pm on Saturday. We were told there would be a 20 minute wait. We inquired why there was a wait time when half the restaurant was empty. We were informed that they didn't open one half at lunch time. We decided to wait because we were the only ones waiting. After a 20... More
