I had the Acapulco enchilada and my wife had the Mazatlan, both seafood dishes. The chips as appetizer are always good but the salsa is only fair. The restaurant is decorated beautifully in each booth has unique woodcarvings on the chairs. Service is good and it is a frequent stop for me for a reasonably priced dinner.

Good food, fast and courteous service. I drink a LOT of iced tea and I never had to wait long for a refill. Reasonable prices as well.

We love this local chain of Mexican food. We have only eaten at this location once and our experience was okay, but I would say this one is the weakest link in the chain. The atmosphere (inside and out) just seemed a little off, the restrooms were very messy, the service was only okay, and the food was average. I... More

I know that this is a very popular chain in this area, but I was definitely not impressed. Everything was overdone with black pepper. I do not like black pepper anyway and they just inhialated everything with it.

We stopped at La Mesa for lunch. La Mesa is just a short drive off of I 80. We got seated immediately. Chips and salsa arrived at our table. The salsa was mediocre at best. The best food we ordered were the steak fajitas and chile rellenos. But oh the service was so slow. We were on a road trip... More

We enjoy eating here occasionally. The service is always great and the food doesn't disappoint. My wife always gets the Pasta a la Mesa and says it's great. Festive atmosphere.

Food was ok, but under seasoned. Pretty bland for Mexican food. Margaritas were very good. Salsa was tomato sauce with a few onions in it, it was awful. Located in a really 'iffy' part of town. Park your car where you can watch it.
