Stopped on a cross country trip for lunch buffet. The selection was a bit small, and the only meat they had was chicken, but everything was very well prepared and very tasty. For about $10 it was a great value!

10 colleagues and I had a working lunch at Mantra in June. The manager provided semi-private space on the second floor. We ate off the $10 lunch buffet. It says a lot about the place that my boss, who is Indian, and I, who has have very little exposure to Indian cuisine, were both very satisfied with lunch. There were... More

I ate lunch here today and wanted to have the buffet, but found that on Holidays the buffet is not served. So I ordered from the menu and asked for mild seasoning. It came as ordered and tasted really good but for me it was too small of a serving. I would have been more satisfied if the serving was... More

I don't know if there's a real good Indian restaurant in the Quad Cities, when I crave Masala, this is where I go.

The decor is very nice. I have gone twice with co-workers for lunch, good place for this. I don't think this my food. I know some people that really like this place. Buffet not worth $10 for me. I ate mostly the bread/pita and rice. I enjoy trying new foods. It was fun once. There aren't that many choices downtown..... More

Stopped here for lunch with a friend who comes quite a bit. I am admittedly ignorant when it comes to Indian Cuisine. I wanted to try as many things as possible, and the lunch buffet was an affordable way to do some sampling. I was pleased with the staff, who were friendly, accommodating, and always busy checking/filling the buffet. The... More

This place is great. The atmosphere is lovely and the food is incredible. I went there for the lunch buffet and it was great. My only complaint was that there were limited options for vegetarian food, which is unusual for an Indian restaurant. But my boyfriend, who appreciates a good chicken curry, really loved the meat dishes.

I read reviews for this restaurant and had to try it out. I won't go back. Food was just OK. we had the set-priced dinner for 2. the mulligatawny soup was just a very thin broth and the chicken soup was more like tomato soup. Both didn't have much flavor. Had tandorri chicken. It was good. they must serve this... More

This is about the only place to get Indian food in the Quad Cities. The place is not fancy, but the food is very good. The cook will spice the dishes to your preference. Great place to eat on a budget.

I'm always pleased eating at Mantra (which is at least two times per month). The servers are always so gracious, helpful, and kind. They recognize me now when I come in! The food is exceptional; the lunch buffet is a must. They serve two soups, at least two meat entrees, salad, chutneys, desserts, and veg entrees. Flavorful and high quality... More
