Family Stay

Stayed here for a night with family, it was a Sunday and they don't serve food on a Sunday. However we were allowed to order takeaway and eat in the bar, cutlery and plates provided for us and all rubbish taken away, which was great....The room was lovely, the bed could have been a little more comfortable. Good shower, and great coffee. David was very helpful in the evening, friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is extra, we didn't have this as we had plans, but another family member did, and said it was good. Overall a nice stayMore

Excellent Fish and Chips

Dropped in for a quick lunch on a sunny Saturday. Excellent fish and chips, and friendly service. The pub and it’s setting aren’t exactly picturesque - but the interior is clean and nicely presented - and the food, as mentioned, is great. So nice to...have fish that was beautifully cooked, and white throughout, with crispy beery batter.More

Two might stay whilst visiting friends

Two excellent night stay. The breakfasts were substantial and well cooked and presented. We had one evening meal which was beautifully cooked and presented. Room very clean and ample tea and coffee. Staff very friendly

The food here is delicious.

The food here is delicious. Our party each had different meals and we all loved them. Great service and a lovely inn to spend the evening over dinner. A must of you are in the area.

Delicious food and friendly service

We had a great evening at Buxted Inn. Staff were very friendly and gave lots of good information about the menu and specials. There were a good array of drinks and the food was delicious. I went for the burger and paramsan fries and my...husband had the harissa lamb with flatbread. Both really tasty!More

Lovely Gem of a pub/hotel

Fantastic pub, booked for a birthday celebration, made the reservation on line and requested a quiet table and said it was for a birthday. The table allocated was quiet as requested and the staff even asked who's birthday it was. Food was delicious Fish and...chips superb as was the burger and the salmon stew, can't fault the food or the service which was attentive but not over bearing. The deserts were delightful and a lovely touch was the birthday candle that was added without asking to the complementary desert for the birthday guest, which was a lovely surprise. Will definitely be returning, thank you to the owners and staff for making it such a lovely evening.More

Best roast ever!

We were so impressed with the roast. The beef was cooked to perfection & the vegetables, potatoes & gravy were amazing! The bar man, was so welcoming & friendly.... We will most definitely be returning!

A perfect weekend escape

Absolutely superb stay with David and the team. The room (No.4) was spotless and newly decorated with a great shower. We had dinner and breakfast which were both excellent. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and a real credit to David. Thank you all...for a great stay.More

Lovely restaurant, bar and great food

Lovely ambiance, super service and dedicated staff and owners. Great food and a lovely place to enjoy a pre-drink (or after drink) at the bar. Will definitely come again.

EXCELLENT!!

Excellent meal at The Buxted Inn last night. They were very busy as there were Xmas parties in but our waitress was FANTASTIC !! Nothing too much trouble. Food was really delicious !! Huge thanks to the chef. Great ambiance , all in all a...thoroughly enjoyable nightMore

Amazing hotel,great staff and food outstanding

Absolutely loved our stay. Friendly and accommodating hotel team. Hotel rooms lovely and well equipped, super simple to get set up on arrival,very comfortable beds,great shower system as shown in other people's photos. Couldn't have been happier with our stay as a group of cycling...friends. General manager and his team were superb from start to finish.would thoroughly recommend The lamb curry was the best I've ever eaten,and I eat a lot of curry!!!! Massive car park in rear to store bikes.More

Lovely place to stay and eat

We had a one night stay here when we went to Uckfield for a spa day. It is a fantastic Inn, not too big and nice and cosy. The room was great and well looked after. A nice atmosphere in the bar and great food...in the restaurant. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful and made us feel really welcome. We will definitely be back when we are next in the area and would highly recommend a stay and/or a meal hereMore
