......but pretty average Sunday Lunch, we were a little disappointed after reading an article giving the place a very good write up, to be fair it might be better on a week day when it maybe isn't so busy. we would go again but it would be our last choice.

We had the most amazing food at this dog friendly pub restaurant, we popped in for lunch on our first day which was so good we went back the next day for our evening meal - the rack of lamb was superb - highly recommended

Ok firstly only a 4 because where our table for 10 was seemed to be a through traffic route but other than that was excellent and we will come again. Great starters all enjoyed and big portions even 2 kids had massive meals. Mains were also great. I had mushrooms to start, people had brie and others soup to name... More

After looking for a nice dinner stop when on holiday we came across this pub and thought we'd give it a try. We had a warm welcome, so did our dog! The food was lovely, and appreciated looking at the bikes too. Well worth a stop if you are in the area!

I have been here before but today we took the family up for lunch, because last time we came we enjoyed so much. The staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you and the food is amazing. It doesn't matter what you order from the menu as it will all be top quality and so well presented. The... More

We were staying up at Craig Y nos Castle, so popped over to Pen Y Cae Inn on one of our evenings for a change of scene. Amazing food, good service and we had a great time having a look around the micro zoo!

Gorgeous Carvery, complimented by deep fried Brie and chilli jam starter and apple pie with custard dessert. Really well presented. Lovely interior, cosy friendly Welsh pub environment. Will definitely return.

Recently took my wife here to celebrate her birthday after being recommended by friends. We both had nice starters, I had the carrot and ginger soup but it was not hot enough for my taste, and my wife's belly pork was over cooked . I had the ample seafood tagliatelle , and my wife had the gammon, the mains were... More

When we arrived the car park was full and it was raining so we had to park outside on the main road. Looks like it can get very busy here on Sunday afternoon between 1 and 2pm. We got drinks at the bar and waited for 30 minutes to be seated upstairs. ( it was much quieter after 3pm) There... More
