Emma Jean's was the only restaurant close to the Super 8 Walnut. Buffet was ample and the fried fish kept coming. Friendly service and customers!

We stopped in for an early dinner when staying at the Super 8, no one around when we entered other than another couple so we helped ourselves to menus and sat down. The waitress was friendly and chatty, asking about the recent tragedy in Manchester...More

We went there at about 9:00 PM for a couple of beers and some food to take back to our hotel. We had noticed earlier that there were quite a few cars there but when we got there we were the only two people. The...More

I had never had broasted chicken (or maybe I have but didn't know what it was). It was amazing. I had to wait about 15 min but it was well worth it :)

It was seat yourself. We got a booth. Initial service wasn’t fast, but it wasn’t extremely slow either. Waitress asked us what she can get us to drink. She did not bring water. I said we’d just like to see the menu first, thanks. I...More

Dear customer, Normally at this point we respond to reviews by thanking persons about their wonderful reviews. Occasionally, yet very rarely we respond to reviews that warrant addressing a sane persons legitimate concerns. After all we are human and on occasion we do make a...More

The owner of Emma Jean's is what made our stop for lunch so special! Lynn Driver is so personable and such a great sense of humor! And the food was great too!

My "gold standard" for local diners is chicken-fried steak - it better be good! And at Emma Jeans, it was very good. Crispy and hot, with good mashed potatoes and white gravy. My only issue was that the vegetable (corn) served with it was cold....More

Thank you so very much for the wonderful review. I am not sure how your corn could have been cold, I will have my staff check the temp. We always appreciate customer comments as we strive for excellence. Thank You, please stop again!

I am writing in response to the owner's inquiry as to what they could have done better on my visit of October 2016. Two things would have made my visit excellent. One was to have fresher corn and the other was to have a better iced tea. Thanks for your inquiry. My husband and I will definitely return!

Description
Under construction, but excellent food and plenty of it. Will have bar, dinning room w/ occasional buffet and a conference room. Will be 1st class. Nice owner. pulled pork, actually two sandwiches packed with pork, it was delicious. The owner came over and welcomed us and gave us a tour of the construction area, this is going to be a first class place with a conference room, bar and occasional buffet. Looking at the beautiful oak wood work the owner is not holding back... this will be a first class dining establishment. Can't wait to see what's on the new menu.
