Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Unless you are eating the carvery, the food is very hit & miss. On occassion, I wanted Shepherds Pie but was advised none available & try the Steak pie. It was over salted & not that great. On another occassion, I tried the double burger....Over cooked & harder than leather. My wifes food was cold. The young staff are often surly & seem to enjoy ignoring you. The manager seems to want to be a DJ rather than a pub manager!!More

Having been here a couple of weeks ago to enjoy an excellent mid-week Carvery, we thought we would try the 'Breakfast Carvery' - available on Thurs/Fri/Sat - until 11.00am. I was a little worried having checked the website first only to see the stated opening...times were 12.00 each day! Ignore - the website is going to be updated. On arrival we were greeted with a lovely welcome and shown to a table. Having chosen how we would like our eggs cooked, it was only a short wait until we were called to the 'carvery'. Our plates were ready, with eggs as ordered, and another plate of toast & butter. On offer was everything you could possibly want for a traditional British Breakfast. In carvery fashion, you could select and help yourself to exactly what you wanted - no limit, and the quality was exceptional. Certainly one of the best breakfast's I have had and fantastic value. Overall, a lovely pub environment, extremely welcoming and friendly Staff and above all, great food and value. Cannot recommend enough. We will certainly be back.More

Five of us enjoyed a Family meal in a venue with an excellent atmosphere, where the staff were jolly and very attentive, providing exceptional customer service levels throughout our evening. Food was delivered in a very timely manner and of good quality. The venue is...very well presented and you feel at home there.More

We had a lovely lunch here today in cosy surroundings. Two of us had the carvery which was delicious. The beef was cooked perfectly & the turkey nice & moist.A good selection of vegetables too.My husband loves sticky toffee pudding & this one he rated 10 out...of 10.A good sized portion (with dates in? Not just a lump of sponge, as some places serve)in a proper pudding bowl with a generous amount of custard.Perfect.Our friends meals were given the thumbs up too.One of them had a massive cod with fries. Pleasant staff and a congenial manager. We thank you all and will return soon.More

Have been for carvery lunch at the Plough and Harrow Pershore today . To be honest we couldn’t get a booking at the two other pubs who do carveries . We were surprised therefore to see that it was only a quarter full especially three...weeks before Christmas however when we saw that the carvery was £16 we realised why . We thought if it was really good it would be worth it but unfortunately the vegetables were luke warm and the beef was tough . Also no horseradish/mustard or cranberry sauce on display. On the plus side the staff were very friendly and helpful.More

Having moved locally, this is our nearest Restuarant. We have been here three times in the last eight months. Having given the establishment three chances, we have now decided to leave a review in the hope that things can change. On each of the three...visits we have unfortunately experienced; Mediocre food quality, Well over the odds prices for the quality of food. Really poor service. Greeted with a comment of “Food or drinks” , no hello or welcome, and no pleasantry comments during the ordering, meal and closing transaction.More

After having to change our booking several times (our fault) and this being absolutely no problem for them, we booked for an afternoon meal. There were 8 adults, a 13, an 11 a 4 year old and 2 babies. Nothing was too much trouble for...them, even providing toys for the little ones. The food was delicious, the 13 year old (who can be fussy) cleared his plate quicker than ever seen and those who had the carvery said it was the nicest carvery they had ever had. Truly a great day and a lovely experience with great food. Thank youMore

They have just started serving a buffet style breakfast with a good introductory price of just £7 and seeing how they are only 2 mins up the road thought i would give it a go, eggs were cooked to order (nice touch) sausage and bacon...were very nice the sort you would expect from the butchers, there was black pudding which was very nicely cooked (not the disintegrating over cooked slop you might usually get) fried bread, hashbrowns, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans and chips (wasn't expecting that but the kids might like it) all served with toast and real butter. coffee was excellent freshly ground all in all a very nice breakfast, grab a bargain i think the offer is on for the next week or 2, and if you like a carvery its excellent we have had several and its been very good and hot (every time!) as a point of reference I'm in my 50's so I've been around the block and know a nice meal when i have one :) if you like your ale i can recommend the neck oilMore

Having visited here many times and enjoyed what was a top quality Sunday Carvery, I was very disappointed with the quality of the food and the service from the staff. For starters, we were seated in the darkest part of the restaurant, even though there...were plenty of tables available, and it was 5pm so I don’t think all those spare tables were booked. When a different waitress came to take our drink order, we asked to be seated somewhere different, this was no problem - so why place us in the worst seating to start with? Albeit we booked for the last sitting of the day for the Carvery, and with this in mind I didn’t expect the vegetables to be as they are at midday, but the vegetables were basically mush. There were no carrots, and when I asked if they would be anymore I was told very rudely by the lady staff member who was carving the meat, “no more carrots” there was no apology, (btw she needs training on carving a joint, my beef slices looked like three rump steaks it was that thick). I was then informed that if I wanted carrots, there was mashed swede and carrot available, which I had. But it was inedible as it was like puréed baby food. When we paid for our Carvery (which was definitely not worth £16 per person) we were not asked ‘if all was ok with our meals’ which seems to be the norm at other restaurants. So all in all, the Plough and Harrow has really gone down in both its quality of food and customer service from the staff.More

A very pleasant Greek salad with flat bread and hummus and plenty of feta but lacked tomato- 2 cherry tomatoes cut in half and dressing. I would have asked for dressing however no-one approached our table whilst we were there to ask us if we...needed anything or if we were enjoying our food. We left without dessert or coffee for this same reason. Menu not as good as 12 months agoMore
