It didn’t look much but great food, great service, attentive to all our needs (toddler, baby, dog, miserable old sod). A great Sunday lunch experience!

We preordered at the request of the Seven Stars because we were a party of 7! We arrived bang on time and the food came out immediately! Even before our drinks order! Chips burned to a crisp, fish we think had been double fried. So...no fillings remained. Some of us received the wrong sides. Korean chicken also ruined and dry. Cottage pie full of salt. Basically an expensive and disappointing meal. One course one drink and they charged us £207 in total. They didn’t seem bothered when we complained. A disaster all round! Plus: How can you justify £11 for one glass of rose wine.More
The man in the Kitchen makes this place worth a visit. Never has roast beef been cooked to this level of perfection it was excellent. Even the Yorkshire pudding is worth a mention, fluffy and light a masterpiece. Roast potatoes amazing. Go there stay there....Also an imaginative wine list, certainly not the usual more The unusual and very good. Draft beer like nectar. Service was good. Landlord friendly. Who could ask for anything more.More
Quite possibly one of the best Sunday lunches I’ve ever had! 10/10. Revisiting Bottlesford after 55 years.
Visited here whilst staying in Marlborough for a post-Xmas break. In four days of eating out, this was definitely the best place we came to. Great service, lovely intimate surroundings, and excellent food. Three of our party are vegetarian and the options were great -...which, sadly, is still more of an exception than a rule. The meat and fish dishes were also apparently excellent. A good choice of local beers as well. Highly recommended.More
Great home-cooked food and friendly staff. No rush for us to leave, so great for our family Christmas get-together. The drinkers among us were happy with the choice of ciders and low alcohol lagers.
We were let down by our first choice of venue, so phoned on Saturday to book an evening meal. We were asked to pre-order our food so did. Luckily we ate early before the kitchen got busy. Our food arrived 10 minutes after we arrived....My vegan burger, brown toast, salad and sweet potato fries were excellent. My husband's cheeseburger was good but not great. We asked the barman if they stocked Appletisers. He said they did, but we were served Bottle Green apple pressee which we didn't like.More
Visited for one of the Bottfest events with live music and BBQ. Excellent time in the extensive garden - plenty of tables and chairs, outside bar and a fantastic BBQ with plenty of choice. All washed down with some good ale and wine - what’s...not to like!More
A gorgeous country pub, with lots of character. Delicious food, and a very warm welcome from the friendly host, Graham.
After a very hot day on the bikes from Winchester we found the Seven Stars as a very welcoming watering hole and great place to stay overnight. Great food, great beers, comfy rooms and great breakfast. Exactly what we needed!
A lovely quiet corner of Wiltshire, nice accommodation and staff who are friendly and helpful. But a slightly underwhelming menu plus a not-so-clean bathroom took the gloss off what could have been a great stay
Dinner for 7. Graham and his team were very welcoming. Menu availability worked perfectly well for us and the food was simply wonderful and plenty of it. Honestly, the quality and presentation of the meals were first class. Highly recommended.
This was a lovely find on a cold winters evening... absolutely beautiful ambience, welcoming hello and excellent service. The vegan options were delicious, and it can be hard to find a pub in the sticks that caters to vegans, so really happy we found this...place. We will definitely be returning on special occasions, as it is fairly expensive, but in our view well worth it!! :)More
Myself, my son and grandson’s first visit to this lovely county pub. Friday night and the place was busy and buzzing, wonderful atmosphere, cosy and friendly. We had been asked to pre book which was not a problem and the starters were ready when we...arrived. The food was delicious, staff were excellent, attentive but not over powering. It was a nice touch that the owner Graham came and spoke to us during the evening and treated us as valued customers. Would definitely recommend, and will be back. *****More
Gorgeous food cooked with love and care. Top class standard. Wonderful wine list. Laid back but highly efficient service. Graham, the landlord, is the perfect host. Really knows his food and wines and creates the most wonderfully welcoming atmosphere. Lovely cosy and quiet bedrooms. We...love this place. It never lets us down and we always look forward to our visit. This time we took my granddaughter with us who also approved. Hopefully, the next generation of guests to this wonderful Inn.More
