Seems every time we were eating in the area Salty iguana appeared to be a good place to eat... it has been in this location for years! Maybe it's that we are used to Mi Ranchito's or Jose Peppers or Ted... salty iguana had absolutely NO flavor whatsoever. Our entire family and the couple with us were terrible disappointed and... Waiter was attentive and provided us with endless chips! The food was very good, more like Tex Mex. I can see why it is always so crowded, worth every bit of a 10 minute wait for a table!

Went to the Salty Iguana as they have all the KU games on. We had A great meal in a fun atmosphere. I had the smoked chicken salad and my Husband had the taco salad. We also had the queso dip. Everything was Great, served quickly.

This is the kind of kid/family friendly restaurant that serves a real purpose - decent Tex-Mex (or American/Mexican) food in a lively, very colorful atmosphere. Is the food memorable? No. Is it a bit above average quality with lots of choices & options? Yes. One plus is the warm basket of complimentary chips with very good salsa (fresh tomato/herb taste).... More

Carnival atmosphere is probably ok for children, but the food is fair to poor tasting. Rice is served cold, beans are overcooked in the "microwave". The plate might be hot but the food is room temperature. The plates and portions have become smaller as the prices have increased.

Needed to go some where close and fast for a quick birthday lunch. Had a party of 7 and they got us seated right away. I had the lunch tostada and it was very good and plenty of food. Refilled the chips and refilled drinks. It is sorta a sports/Mexican place. Lots of TVs and iguanas painted on the wall... More

This is a great place ... I go here more than I probably should. They have great margaritas, good food and friendly staff.

I think the enchiladas and tacos are ok but their salads are nothing special. We are gluten free so have not tried the burritos. My youngest likes the chicken, cream cheese enchiladas. We are not regulars because I think the food is just fair, but it is always busy? There are so many other really good places to eat around... More

We stopped by for a short drink. On Thursday Mexican beer $2.50, plus we received warm chips and salsa. Great specials.

I love Mexican and this is the best! Fresh ingredients prepared in mouthwatering combinations make this a great place to dine! And the service is top notch, too!

Thank Rita E
