My wife and I visited over the weekend, and decided to opt for the A La carte menu. Service was very good, attentive but not overbearing. The food was excellent, well presented, tasty and good sized portions.....and reasonably priced. In truth we honestly could find any faults, and we are picky. Our biggest compliment is that we will be back very... More

Well what a change since my last visit. Credit card machine not working, limited menu and few diners. 9 of us sat down to eat in virtually splendid isolation, the menus arrive and what a disapointment, gone was the gastro dining I experienced at my last visit, insted there was very basic pub grub fish and chips being the most... Wonderful service. Beautifully cooked food. I would recommend the fish pie. Plenty of people eating (which is always a good recommendation!) Background music playing but it wasn't so loud to drown out conversation. A lovely night out x

Arriving early at our holiday cottage we booked the Wheatsheaf at 10am for 1pm the same day. Very helpful on the phone. Warm welcome from friendly staff. Place gradually got busier until it was full. We both had roast for lunch. Both beef and pork were excellent, tender and tasty. Veg very good and the roast potatoes were amanst the... More

I visited with my family for early evening meal. Children had chicken nuggets which were superb. Nothing like take away rubbish. The triple cooked chips were delicious. My wife had battered fish & chips my Daughter had ham egg and chips and my son in law had the fish cakes. All these were tasty and beautifully cooked. Now we come... More

A great evening and enjoyable atmosphere with tasty food. Would return. Great gluten free selection and menu which was done separately. My only comment to improve things would be better quality gluten free bread. There are better brands of gf bread now ailable. But a small point. Friendly staff and great good and atmosphere. All our group enjoyed it. Thanks... More

My partner and I had a superb 5 course meal here on Valentines night. The staff were very attentive and efficient and the food first class. The restaurant and pub is so beautiful with lovely finishing touches to make your visit more special. Well done to all. We shall definitely be back soon xx

We dined here as a group of 5 for Sunday lunch - dining at 12.30pm the pub wasn't full by any means but had a few occupied tables in both bar and restaurant. It became busier around 2pm. I've read that the pub has been taken over by new management - this was most evident in the reduced size menu... More

After a successful January promotion the Wheatsheaf has extended its fixed menu. £3.50 starter/dessert and £10 main course. Food was great, my daughter and I had Baked Camembert with bread to share it was delicious! The Cajun burger seemed popular with most of our party, apart from my daughter who doesn't like anything spicy, but asked if she could have... More

The Wheatsheaf at Titchmarsh is a modern village pub that serves high quality fresh local produce with open wood burning fires in the winter and a great heated alfresco dinning area in the summer . We always have a great selection of well kept ales and a popular selection of wine available to.
