After a long day at Rolex, we were looking for a place to have a couple of drinks and food. I looked on trip advisor for recommended placed. This was like #3. Before we left to get here, Husband asked if we had been here before. I didn't think so, but then I saw that I had reviewed this place... More

My husband and I walked from our home to Galvin's for lunch. We were tending to business downtown and on the campus of Georgetown College and had never eaten at Galvin's, so we thought we'd give it a try. I have to say it won't be the last visit. The atmosphere is fun and not overwhelming in spite of the... More

Dropped in to Galvin ' s for a quick dinner after golf. Lots of draft beer both craft and domestic. Good appetizers . Battered pickles and onion rings. Thin crust pizza with extra cheese was great. Big garage door opens onto street. Make you feel like being outside. Big three sided bar. Lots of high tables plus booths.

Galvin's recently moved and opened in a larger location near their old location. The service has remained the same great service they have always had. The menu is the same. Their Ruben sandwich is about the best you'll find this side of NY.

I love the new location of Galvin's! They really did a fantastic job with the decor and keeping it "Kentucky." My husband and I went there to watch a UK basketball game during the SEC tournament. There were ample TVs to watch the game from - not a bad seat in the house. The food was good and the camaraderie... More

Location is definitely nicer but parking is still a problem. Service is fine. Underwhelmed by the Philly & the chicken parm sandwich was basically thawed breaded chicken tenders from a bag, some chunky marinara thrown on top w/ mozzarella used as the glue holding it together. The food is way overpriced compared to the quality. It's a pass for us.

Galvin's new building is very nice with interesting and eclectic décor, great local photography. The food is not cheap but not super expensive and the portions are generous. Its very popular for locals to meet and watch the UK games. Its pretty noisy - no insulation - but a fun place to be. The buffalo chicken nachos are fabulous.

Galvins has moved two blocks west on Main Street. It's much bigger, with more television sets and a new menu. On nights and weekends, you may have to wait for a table. The food is excellent and moderately priced. Quite a trendy place for little Georgetown.

Second attempt at trying to eat their...at 8:00 on a Saturday night had a one hour wait and another 40 minutes for food ( no UK game). Pretzel appetizer was great but both salads were warm and pizza was very bad. Normally I don't complain much but we won't be returning.
