Took ot luck for lunch on a quiet Thursday. Reasonable extent of choice of well cooked and presented food. Got talking to the waitress about the ideas the new manager has to get this pub back on track after a closure, and as we do not live too far away we will keep an eye onit. From the reviews -... We were a family of 6 adults and one child aged 4. Immediately we walked in, were approached by a lovely friendly lady, very polite and nothing was too much trouble. All mums at the table received a complimentary bottle of wine each! The food was amazing all cooked freshly and served piping hot. Staff friendly and attentive without being... More

My partner and I recently went to the Brewers Arms with a couple of friends for an evening meal. The steak ordered by the guys was inedible, absolutely full of gristle and what little meat there was was too tough to chew. In effect, we paid a lot of money for chips, and a couple of mushrooms and onion rings.... More

We visited for the Valentines dinner. The food was really good and the servings nice and generous. The hosts were very friendly and personable and made you feel very welcome. Great news that this Pub has some decent people running it at last and long may this last!

The roast beef meal was good , generous portion of beef and assorted vegetables . rather spoilt the by the meal swimming in thick gravey , would have preferred a gravy boat to add to own taste . Service was very good as I,m told they are new owners and were eager to please .also not many customers in at... More

New owners who are still finding their feet, ordered a chicken roast, got pork (no big deal) but food took forever on what seemed a quiet Sunday, Portion sizes all over the place, card machine not working. All day breakfast was the top dish on the menu, what's that all about?! It's trying to be a well established pub, not... More

We recently visited The Brewers for a family meal and were made to feel very welcome. There was plenty of choice on the menu, the prices were reasonable and the food was excellent. As the pub has changed hands so many times and we hadn't been for a while, we weren't sure what to expect but the atmosphere was perfect.... More

Called in here for a few drinks with family, leaving before New Year's Eve celebrations. Staff friendly and happy, couldn't be more accommodating. This pub has had a lot of new owners over previous years so will have to wait and see how this goes, that said I have no complaints after the couple of hours I spent here.

Reasonable food but we had booked a Christmas menu and the chef was annoyed we hadn't pre-ordered. On booking I'd been told that wasn't necessary. The food was ok but nothing to write home about. The waiting staff were pleasant but not particularly professional in there approach.
