My wife and I both love a cup of good coffee. The staff is always Pleasant. For the most part my wife will stick to iced coffee cream and sugar me on the other hand I tend to just go with the flavor of the day. I've been coming here for a couple of decades and I've never had a... More

While the staff here hasn't always been the friendlies and they just cut the hours, the coffee is still good and the food is at least decent.

On a quick visit to Lexington, we stopped into Common Grounds to check out a good coffee joint. We weren't disappointed! The barista was chatty and personable, the coffee was phenomenal, and the environs were incredible to just sit and look at. If we were locals, we'd be back every day!

I ordered a medium Americano (I know, a boring order amidst their exciting range over and above the standard plethora of coffee choices) and a bagel and received a very generous brew, sitting in a relaxed atmosphere of industrious students (felt slightly lazy I didn't have studying to do, more so smug the my university years are in the past).... Love Common Grounds for their creative, delicious drinks, and spacious layout. It's one of my favored study spots. Staff is always friendly, and drinks are always good.

We dropped in here prior to our departure for Chicago expecting great things. Poor communication may have undermined the quality of the experience slightly as the three cappuccinos were something of a letdown, with far too much milk drowning the taste of the coffee, although to be fair one was changed for a shorter/stronger one on request. I gather that... More

Great handmade milkshakes in a coffee house. The coffee and chai were delicious also. The creme brulee cheesecake, well, that will wait for another day. Staff was friendly and helped get extra chairs for us to sit outside. Great place to have a chat and a coffee. Beware of where you park though.

Beware the tow-monger who must've been surveying the illegal parking spots located ten feet away and directly adjacent to the identically labeled legal ones. Anyways, the service was much better than my first experience; so, taking into account deviation from the mean, the score represents a 1,4,4, respectively.

Very cool place to be, was in town to visit and was looking for a great coffee house, and I found it. Set in a historical building in Lex, staffed by really good baristas, the extra extra dry cappuccinos with Ezra shots were the best, and the recommendations on where to go to enjoy craft beer and bourbon were spot...
