Upon walking in, it was almost totally empty and there was an unpleasant smell- there was construction across the street at the convention center and they are doing their own renovations, so we decided to overlook it and give it a shot. Glad we did. The specialty cocktails were okay, but they made a mean Boulevardier- any place that can... More

This was a nice find. The food was really great, with lots of food from local and regional farms. They had a pork special that was delicious, and my friend had the shrimp and grits, also delicious. Great wine list!

I was here with a group business associates. They each had the fish and chips. They all agreed it was delicious. I had shrimp and goat cheese grits-absolutely delicious! Portions are large which means there is enough for a second meal. The staff was knowledgeable when informing us of items on the menu.

We ate dinner by the bar. The service was OK. The food was good both the fried chicken and the shrimps with grits. The bill however turned out too expensive. The drinks were overpriced. Ask how much the mint julep is before getting one!

Was in Louisville for business and came across this place while walking around looking for a place to eat. Was greeted quickly by a friendly host, and waited on by a friendly server. I ordered a chicken carbonara dish that was delicious. The pasta was done perfectly. The pecan pie for dessert was equally good. Would not hesitate to dine... More

Looking for a pre red/white game early dinner we chose Bistro 301. Great walking game location and they take reservations. Greeted immediately and taken right to our four top. Barely sat down and water was delivered and drink orders taken. A modest wine list and a descent bourbon selection was available. We ordered the calamari (with banana peppers) for an... More

On business and decided to visit this place based on visits. Was quickly seated without reservation. Was adequately busy. Service was pretty quick. Only complaint is my waiter didn't tell me the daily specials like the other waiter I overheard. Food was delicious! I would definitely come back

Try the mussels in cream sauce with bacon and blue cheese. I did not leave a drop! The Double Chocolate Stout was tasty too. The place was very quiet on a Tuesday night but the service was good.

Found this place on Trip Advisor while wandering through 4th Street desperately hoping for a non-chain restaurant. Walked in to a nearly empty restaurant and were a little nervous. That went away quickly when we met our awesome waitress and saw the creative and diverse menu. I waded through the Bourbon list trying to find a new flavor for my... More

It's been several months since I've been to Bistro 301.....it's normally on my Louisville must have a meal at location. I went Wednesday night with a co-worker and had dinner. Found out they are now under new ownership/management. Our meal was great. We shared the calamari.....always a great appetizer. My co-worker had the pork chop and said it was amazing.... More
