Wow wow wow. This is not just a venture in dining. It's a trip with your taste buds to heaven. Ask for a recommendation and you shall not be let down. Beef tenderloin you have my heart!

I was there for a business meeting and ordered the steak. It was great, comparable to Ruth's Chris but with a little better flavor! The waitress was friendly and attentive. I would most definitely visit this place again when I get back to Midway.

Chef Mark Wombles consistently delivers great tasting food usually sourced from Kentucky farms. We were seated right away even though we didn't have a reservation and the restaurant was fairly busy. The food was amazing! The chicken liver was served with ravioli and greens and a delicious lemony sauce.

I showed up without an reservation and was able to sit at the bar because I was by myself. The restaurant is very small but has a great atmosphere and cool decor. Our dinner at Heirloom was a great way to finish off Homecoming after a day at the Keenland races. The menu was varied and extensive, the wine selection complemented our dinner choice perfectly. We had the special burger and since they had run out of the grouper taco, a warm spinach salad with shrimp, which were delicious! The decor of this restaurant was quite unique in its understated frilly elegance, good service. We plan to come back.

Midway is a unique town and The Heirloom sits along its main street. Our dinner was delicious. Our entrees included duck, roasted grouper, and beef tenderloin. Service was friendly and efficient. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Went with my family(6 total), the seating was mostly booths with a few tables inside and a few outside. It was still roomy even though there was 6 at our table. Description
It's hard to find a soothing palette of beige and cream, much less one whose walls are adorned with whimsical, painting-size "cutouts"; whose backlit bar is simultaneously sleek, warm and inviting; and whose food doesn't allow the design to do all the work. But there's one place. Heirloom is Lexington's small-town neighbor with seriously sophisticated cuisine.
Owned by chef Mark Wombles and his father, Henry, the restaurant came out of the gate in 2006 to acclaim. Its standard has remained high, with only occasional slips. Now, however, with Nicolas True blood — formerly of The Mansion at Griffin Gate — as chef de cuisine, Mark Wombles' original vision of using fresh, local ingredients to create Kentucky dishes with a global sensibility and a hint of California influence is being met and exalted.
