We went for lunch on Saturday. The choices vere many, for all. The buffet had oderve, entrees, and deserts. The owner Frank Presad was very friendly and visited each table.

Great ambiance and authentic spicy Indian food. We had their Alu Gobhi, Saag paneer, Raita and rotis. The rotis were perfectly cooked and the vegetable dishes were spicy - just like regular home made indian food.

I'm from the UK so have sampled a few curries over the years. Here are my top 3: Dishoom - off Regents St, London Tied 2nd - Bay Leaf, Baton Rouge & the Ashiana in Houston. Whoever is working the kitchen cares about what they are doing. I had a Shrimp Bhuna, nice and spicy and also able to taste... More

We (my colleague and I) visited this restaurant on January 26, 2017 for the lunch buffet. There were lot of varieties of Indian foods. The foods were not too spicy and not too oily. There were only Naans at the buffet, which didn't taste very good. The restaurant should also provide Rotis in the buffet meal.

Also they have separate stations for the deserts and other hot items. The menu has long list of Veg. and Non Veg. We made reservations on-line for Sunday night, but never heard back from them. Fortunately, ithe venue had a lot of tables and we got there before 7pm, so we were able to get a table. It is very popular. I like it's bright, open atmosphere. Service was a bit spotty. We had to ask staff for things twice a few... More

Chicken Tikka Masala and chicken Shahi Korma were excellent. The naan was pretty good. The Kingfisher was cold. The curries were very good but spicy. Even ordered mild, they were spicy. Of no particular importance, I noticed there were almost no Indians working there. I think all the Indians in Baton Rouge are anesthesiologists.

This was our first visit here. The restaurant was clean & upscale; the prices were very affordable. The staff was also helpful. Most importantly, the food was incredible! It's the best Indian food we have ever had! If you're in the area & love Indian cuisine, I highly recommend The Bay Leaf!

This is one of my favorite lunch spots in Baton Rouge. I love their soup , the spicy vegetable mixture on the salad bar, and the spinach . They have so many different things to choose from. The buffet is about $13 a person . They always have some type of yummy dessert on the bar as well.

I was on a short getaway and I wanted to try something different. This Indian restaurant was exactly what I needed. They had a lunch buffet. The bone in goat was so tender. I really enjoyed the meal. This is a Top Star 5 restaurant. I recommend this place.
