Great food! Authentic food of Louisiana. Great mix and match options in the menu. Huge quantity of food relative to the menu prices.

The daily special of jambalaya and fried catfish was really good and enough for two people to share. They have different specials during the week. Service was very good too.

One of the best Poboy places in Baton Rouge!! Great food good family atmosphere and nice people!! Parking a problem and the place is too small and is usually crowded so be ready to wait !! It is worth it!!

I very much enjoyed lunch there! I chose their #1 best seller listed under specialties of the house: cup & a half. This consisted of a cup of any soup plus a half po-boy for $10.99. My selection was chicken/andouille gumbo w/ a fried shrimp half po-boy. When the food arrived, I was amazed that the "cup" of gumbo was... More

Dempsey's is super casual with simple/good food. The food is filling and nicely seasoned. The waitress was very attentive. The menu is full of options from poboys, fried seafood and gumbo. Food selection: - Catfish (very nice crust, would prefer slightly thinner) - Stuffed potato (very good!) - hush puppies (very nice)

After numerous attempts at seeking out chicken fried steak in Baton Rouge I had just about given up. Don't get me wrong, their take may be good for the locals and I am not saying it's bad it's just I am from Texas and used to the way Texas chicken-fried steak is made. There is no Cajun seasoning in it... More

First time there 8/10/16 Becka with the dimples was our server. Gumbo seasoned to perfection. Shrimp & Oster poboy delicious, bread so fresh. Twiced baked potato was good, couldve been less spicey, but with crushed bacon bits it was delicious. Will definitely visit them the next time im in that area! We all left there smiling!

The poboys are very good. We got small fries to share and that is still too much. The service is very good also.

On my way to New Orleans to the Jazz Fest I stayed overnight in BR. I wanted to try some local fare. My girlfriend who lived in Baton Rouge recommended Dempsey's. I really enjoyed the hush puppies and the catfish Po boy. The gumbo was good but not he best. I also tried the seafood platter but it wasn't seasoned... More

Dempsey's is just about average for the area. Good Po-Boys, service is basically self service. Never had a bad meal here but sometime they can be really slow for what they have on the menu.

Thank Randy S
