This is the original Mulates. Skip the crowds in NOLA and go here for great food and the best Cajun live music ever. Thanks Jay for your family of musicians giving us a real night to remember. The local people dancing the two-step were so fun to watch. Oh, and the food was amazing. Best hush puppies of our trip.... More

Our waitress Marie kept us laughing and the stuffed crab was the best we've had. We had such a great visit and can't wait to go back.

We had lunch here based upon a recommendation and were quite pleased with the experience. We had the seafood gumbo, their special grilled catfish topped with shrimp etouffee and a side of hushpuppies. I don't pretend to be a Cajun food expert but the catfish dish was really, really good. I would come back for that alone. Prices were very... More

On our visit to Breaux Bridge, we were searching for a local restaurant and found it. I think we were the only non-locals in this great seafood establishment. Terrific cajun dishes and wonderful cajun live music. We highly recommend this establishment and be sure to ask for Marie. Great waitress and funny to boot!

We had a schedule change the made us drop in with a bus full of folks on short notice. With just an hour notice they took care of our group and the food was very good

Came here on a Friday night to listen to the Lee Benoit band. Music was AWESOME! The food---eh, okay at best. Go for the music, have a few beers, and if you are drinking wine, ask how long its been open. The burgers looked good, but the seafood was just okay.

This restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's definitely worth going in. Live music from 7 had a large crowd dancing from the outset, and the staff were welcoming. The Cajun style steak is huge but delicious, go hungry!

Visiting area with local friends, went here for dinner, four of us. The food was Cajun, of course, and wonderful. The baked oysters were melt in your mouth delicious. And, to top it all off, some of the best Cajun live music I've heard in years.. Will go here again if ever in the area.

We stopped here for lunch traveling through Louisiana, actually looking for Mulate's (which used to be in this location). We were not disappointed in the restaurant ownership change at all. We both ordered the fried catfish plate and a side of hushpuppies. All the food was so delicious! The general manager spent some time talking with us, and we really... More
