You order a bowl of "Chicken & Sausage Gumbo" for $12.99 and get a soup plate of it instead. The price for this small quantity of an ordinary soup is much too high, Furthermore the soup was much too spicy compared with all the other gumbos I ater so far. Music and atmosphere are o.k. for people who like this... More

The atmosphere and service was excellent. We enjoyed the music very much! I wish I could give this place a better rating but the food came out too quickly and was barely warm so that leads me to believe it is prepared in advance. Just not great. Loved the fun atmosphere though!

A great evening in a restaurant is a combination of many things, the people dining with you and the food mainly, but when you add a great band singing good old cajun songs and have a pleasant staff caring for you, not surprised the plave was packed... Was told the band plays every evening, will return there try to catch... More

Our visit was part of a package deal which include a meal and a brief lesson on Cajun dance. This was a very enjoyable night. Food was nice and the dancing lesson a tears to remember.

Went for the food, the music, and the atmosphere, and it was all worth it. Actually went on back-to-back nights due to a change in bands. Amazing list of guests/bands that have appeared.

This is the second time we have eaten here, and am a bit surprised by the negative posts. When we went there two weeks ago, the majority of the the dinners seemed to be locals. The food was good if not exceptional, but the ambience and the music was sensational. I defy anyone to sit still when the Cajun band... More

this used to be a very good place to eat some 15 years ago before the almighty cajun craze. the new owners are all about tourist, the prices are about the music not the food.

We went here with a group as an optional extra to the tour. Our server was the most miserable, unpleasant woman I have ever found, while the food was mixed. I had the house special, which was nice but the others' meals left a lot to be desired. The burger wasn't one, just a slab of meat with gravy; the... More

We were in town for Festivals Acadiens et Creoles for the 25th year in a row last week. My wife and I ate here when it was Mulate's about 10 years ago. The food wasn't very good so we haven't eaten there since. I'm Texan and I play Cajun music and know the cuisine and cook it myself. On 10-10-14... More
