Our first full day in the LaFayette area and we simply couldn't avoid Poche's after the glowing reviews we received from our accommodation host. Around 20 minutes east on the 10 the local treats did not disappoint. The boudin balls were well seasoned, crispy on the outside and hot and delicious on the inside. My wife called them Louisiana Arancini... More

Food and boudin was good, very hot (spicy) not heat but good. The dinners were great, they gave you more than enough food to eat, just remember you are going to need a lot of water.

If you are traveling along I-10.....take a few minutes to head north a couple of miles when going past Breau Bridge......Poche's market is a great place to get a bite to eat and also fill your freezer with excellent cajun meats.....I never pass thru the area without my ice chest ready to fill up with some great sausages, boudin and... This a very interesting place. Being part of a market, it is very casual. The dining room is a large open room with a TV on one wall. The decoration/atmosphere is nothing special, but... the service and food are both excellent! The young lady that waiting on us was extremely friendly, helpful, cheerful.... and really made the experience a good... More

Poché's is a grocery store, deli, and restaurant with all kinds of frozen, fresh and canned Cajun goods and a great plate lunch, which is what we had. We went on a Friday, where the star attraction is 3 different seafood choices and 2 sides for about $9. The crawfish etouffée is the best I ever had. There was a... More

Not to be missed...all kinds of Cajun spices, sauces and food. Huge fresh as well as frozen meat, pork and chicken selection. The chicken stUffed with crawfish, the stuffed pork chops, andouille sausage and various kinds of boudin are some of my favorites.

I'm a local and I eat here monthly because it's that good. If you're passing through take the chance and the couple extra miles off the interstate and you won't be disappointed. The plate lunches are more than you can eat in one sitting and about $12 if I remember correctly. There's a small "store" inside where you can buy... More

Pouche's boudin is the best we've had anywhere. Great etouffee and fried fish, too. Market style ordering from friendly servers - very casual and relaxed atmosphere. A unique experience.

If you are on I -10 looking for a great local spot, this is NOT the place to choose. Remotely located in the back woods - which is okay if the food is great - which it was not.
