On a rare free day, we drove to Brighton via Newhaven. We noticed the Telscombe Tavern and decided to stop for a meal. The whole place looks as if it has recently been refurbished and on entry we saw a family with a little one...More

I have not enjoyed a Sunday Roast in ages as I enjoyed this one . The lamb was cooked to perfection as was the roast beef. The Yorkshire puddings were huge, they were Crunchy in the outside and soft in the middle and tasted divine....More

We had a bacon stilton burger with sweet potatoe fries and chicken fajits and it was delish! Well presented salad in the burger was fresh and bright in colour. The fajits sizziled at the table untill they were demolished! Was so full after the meal...More

Our first visit was fabulous. Service was quick and very polite. The food was delicious; I had sausage & mash while my husband had the homemade burger. Sausages were excellent quality and we both enjoyed our meal. Ordered dessert too, profiteroles, and was really impressed...More

Took a party of seven and one dog here for an evening meal. Dog was welcome in the restricted area and vegetarians were well catered for. Unfortunately not a single entrance was suitable for a disabled person. A mountain goat would feel at home here...More

Thank you for your review. I am however a little baffled by your comment as our main front road entrance is a disabled entrance with ramp, signs and wide access. This leads directly into the pub where we also have a disabled toilet. The three...More

Hi, I want to arrange group (15-20) for my sons 40th, I believe you have an area that is raised and away from the main section, it opens onto a terrace. Would it be possible to reserve this area on the 26th November? Also do you cater for children of which there will be 4. Thanks Denise Shorer

Do you allow small dogs in some area? We have two new puppies (11 weeks old) and can't really leave them on their own at the moment. Also we are vegan so wonder if you have a vegan option for roast dinner or whether we could create one from the menu? Thanks

One of our beer gardens is located at the top of the cliffs which is perfect for your event pictures or just to sit & relax with a drink & to take in the stunning views. The Meridian Trail runs all the way along the cliff top to the rear of the pub, so a perfect place to start & stop for refreshments after a days hiking.
