Called here on the way from Newhaven. Good parking spaces, pubs a bit scruffy on the outside,,not to smart on the inside either. But the food was ok. If the whole place had been more tidy ,I would have scored a 4 .

Thank you for your review. As new owners we have been working hard recently to make necessary improvements to the interior & exterior of The Tavern. I am sure you will be impressed with the changes if you call in again.

Visited the Tavern for a few drinks with friends and the pub had a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. The pub didn't appear to be part of a chain and had a more typical English pub feel. A good variation of drinks to choose from...More
