Red beans and rice with sausage on a Monday at 4 p.m. Very good, very traditional. My companions enjoyed their chicken fingers and Portobello sandwich. The service was good although I needed to go inside to get a waitress. We had to eat outside in February, but the weather was very nice although River Road can be a bit noisy.... More

I was visiting friends from New Orleans and they took me to Rivershack Tavern. What a really Kool place. Our other friends from Jefferson Parish and Lafayette met up with us there. We had a blast ! The food was really good. The fried pickles, clams and catfish sandwiches were great. It is located in a quiet spot and looks... More

I stopped here with friends while visiting New Orleans. I wanted a place with a good crawfish boil and this was highly recommended. Prices were reasonable and the place has some real charm to it. I asked if I could get a tour of the boil rig and they arranged one for me.The crawfish were delicious.

I went there with two friends at 11:30pm after being in New Orleans for the Miracle on Fulton Street. We were hungry for hamburgers and onion rings. Not much to look at on the outside. Inside is clean but old, small dance floor and a good band that kept the bass line moving and the toes tapping. Food is excellent,... More

Saturday gets you a $2 mimosa 😉 They give huge portion of food, good enough to share. My favorite is the garbage fries; you can now ask for it anytime. Their burgers are cooked and dressed to your liking. Seafood platter is huge. If you download the app, you will get a free appetizer @$6 value l. Service is patient... More

If you're looking for a real crawfish boil, done right, this is it in the NOLA area. The crawfish are fresh, in season, and the oysters are as good as you're going to get... Can't wait for my next trip. This isn't a fancy place, just good food at a good price.

Awesome service and atmosphere, and the good is impectable. Was only able to visit once f i.e. to it being closed for filming an episode of NCIS New Orleans. So not a quiet place but a really good time. Nieghhood bar/resturant where your treated like you've been there forever.

This is one those awesome local places that's a must visit. The poboy's are very good. The interior tells a story. It's a place where you and some good friends want to stretch lunch into happy hour.

On a recommendation from a relative, we stopped at the Rivershack for lunch and like the name suggests, it looks like a shack from the road and is located on the Mississippi River levee. Friday lunch was crowded, but we found an empty table they cleaned promptly. The Menu is a two-sided sheet and simple - mainly burgers. Service was... More
