A lovely evening with friends. Good food ,wine, & atmosphere made all the more special by the attentive bubbly Lilly who went the extra mile to ensure that impeccable service was provided. We will definitely return. Thank you, Lilly & team for a super evening...at The Brampton Halt.More

What a lovely evening made even better by the lovely lily (hairdresser). Two couples out for a catch up and a meal which was excellent again! But lily s banter and service was exemplary. Even bought us a sample of the soup of the day...to try. She was smiley, chatty, efficient and above all she had top banter with us and is definitely a huge asset to the place.More

Pork Belly …again!! Did I send this one back ? Thankfully NO it was great!! Another McManus pub but a very very different meal served up- one who has the same menu but clearly a different chef. Wanted the special vegan lentil cottage pie option...but sadly not GF. Staff as always - very jolly and prompt and helpful in lovely surroundings. Thanks 😊More

Disappointed that this venue only sold alcohol free larger Due to a condition I have am unable to drink alcohol and really enjoy a meal out with friends and don’t see why I can’t enjoy a glass of alcohol free wine or gin, it makes...the experience all the more enjoyable. Not everyone who is not drinking wants fizzy drinks or orange juice etc.More

A lovely all round experience. Great location, food and service. Really good pub food in a great setting and great for our family. Even the fussy kids enjoyed it!

Brilliant festive meals at this hugely popular restaurant situated next to a vintage railway. A warm welcome is guaranteed by the friendly and attentive staff. Although very noisy at times from neighbouring tables, this did not detract from the excellent food and drinks which were...served at appropriate intervals. Well done and thanks to all concerned.More

Firstly the price range is not £10 to £20. The cheapest item on the main menu is sausage and mash at £15 up to fillet steak at £30 with sauce extra, the burgers start at £15. We went for a family meal, it was very...busy but we had a nice table for 8. The menu has a reasonable choice, the food was ok but not exceptional and slightly overpriced. Service was reasonable.More

We visited @2.30 on a December Sunday. We both chose roast dinners - lamb for me and 3 meats for my partner. We also ordered a side of cauliflower cheese and mulled wine to drink. We rounded off our meals with coffees and a dessert...to share. Excellent food, excellent service and great ambience.More

We went here as a big family meal prior to a wedding. First thing to mention was that we couldn’t all be sat in the same room and were spaced out over 3 groups of tables in two rooms. The staff we friendly and did...a good job with dealing with a large group. I have no comments about starters or deserts as weren’t had. I ordered the pork for my main. It was disappointing – a small bit of pork, with more fat than edible meat. The apple sauce was like it had just come out of a jar of baby food and the leeks were massively undercooked and inedible. I am told that the Linguine was good. To be honest, I wouldn’t go back. the coffee was also cold? It was fairly expensive and didn’t deliver.More

Visited for a big family dinner, so a good stress test for service and the kitchen. Service was good, friendly and efficient especially given the number of order's. Didn't have starters so can't comment there, but the mains were good, well cooked and substantial. However,...dessert was not up to scratch being generally tasteless. Give it a go, but be selective on ordering.More
