They have about the best seafood gumbo around. Let you add your own rice. I do not like a load of rice in my gumbo. I like to add enough for taste. One of the great things about Seafood Palace.

Checkered tablecloths, bustling waitresses and great food. This is an out-of-the way seafood restaurant that has a lot to offer. Originally called the "Crab Palace" in my yesteryears, nothing about the food has grown old. Not very fancy but friendly great service. One of the few places where you still need an extra 'baby wipe' to get through your meal... More

We were told not to be scared off by the appearance of the place and were glad that we went. From the outside it really doesn't look like much, but the food is really good. The small fried shrimp was a bit skimpy on shrimp, but made up for it in taste. We enjoyed it so much for dinner that... More

A wonderful seafood house, full of locals. Fresh boiled seafood in season. Fried seafood year-round. The shire salad is one of the most generous salads I can imagine. Shrimp were very fresh. Boiled crabs were very nice as well. All-n-all, an excellent option for a traditional seafood spot.

Seafood Palace can easily accommodate a single serving or a bus load of hungry Texans. My favorite was the seafood gumbo as an appetizer-not too hot or too "gummy". I enjoyed talking to the friendly staff and listening to their down home accents. New customers feel right at home.

I have been to seafood palace twice and both times had great service and excellent food. The fried fish is by far the best I've had.

I love, love, love their fried fish! It is so light and never has that yucky "fishy" taste. I have not had it but know the gumbo is a favorite of many!!

I was with a bus tour and we stopped here for lunch. There was no way I could eat all this food. The chicken and sausage was great and added to the fried fish it was just more than I could eat. I recommend The Seafood Palace Restaurant as a place to get a lot of great food.

It is not a white table cloth restaurant, but then when you are eating boiled or fried crabs, you know it will be really messy, but good. Service is very courteous and prompt and the crabs are really big, fat and cooked perfectly. They have great gumbo and fried seafood too. Better plan to wait a few minutes for a... More
