This place was recommended to us as having great food! It was really good. We both had the soft shell crab. It was served over pasta with "red gravy". Very good!

This is a cool little place to eat. We ordered the gravy fries as an appetizer, and my children loved them. My husband ordered the oyster poyboy and said it was amazing one of the best he has ever had. I had the roast beef and it was very sloppy but so very good. We are from Louisiana and know... More

Roast beef poor boy is to die for! Get onion rings! Soft shell crab was huge! We loved it all. It's not fancy but it's great.

My wife and I eat dinner there usually every Sunday evening. Their roast beef po-boys are authentic and very good. Pizzas are wonderful. Will remind you of a traditional New Orleans neighborhood restaurant. People from all over dine there. Their bread is over the top.

Some local's told us that this is the place where the locals all eat. That's a good recommendation in my book! Stopped in here for lunch. Do not let the outside appearance turn you away. It looks old and run down a bit, but hey, this is a very longstanding restaurant with a great reputation! There is some parking in... More

Great place for so many reasons. Seafood is fresh and fantastic! Boiled and fried shrimp really good! As a bit of non sequitur the pizza is also really good. My wife and I will split a shrimp plate and a small pizza to get the best of both worlds. Great homemade onion rings, cheese fries with gravy and the Italian... More

This venerable establishment has served generations of New Orleans diners fresh seafood and beer they so richly yearn and enjoy. This establishment is considered a legend. Don't under any circumstances overlook it. Yes, it's noisy and the tables are close together, but it's uniquely reflective of old-time New Orleans neighborhood restaurant charm. The food is extremely fresh and prepared just... More

At dinner hour, this place is packed with the locals, so go during off hours. All the food is great. Best gumbo in town. Also great R&O special po-boy (roast beef & Ham combo).

Dined here with friends and shared food. Everything was really good. The fried shrimp and oysters were perfectly prepared: tender with a delicate batter. Great pre-dressed salad, melt-in-your-mouth roast beef and I highly recommend the crawfish pie. Definitely worth a visit!

Traditional neighborhood restaurant, that's been a staple in Bucktown for decades. Their sandwiches are fresh and hot. Great Po-Boys. Great Pizza. Great place to watch it game.
