I am glad we Lasyone's because it is a must do in the area. This is a difficult rating because I am no authority on meat pies or even creole - southern food. The meat pie was fine but not something my son or I would order again as it was heavy and not to our liking but again we... More

The meat pies are the main attraction. There are two types. The four of us all had the beef pie and it was wonderful. They also had a seafood version that I'll try on my next trip. The gumbo they serve was the best I've ever had.

You always wonder about those "famous" restaurants. We were on a trip through Lousianna and trying all the dishes. We had not had meat pies so naturally we had to try Lasyone's since my Cajun friend had told me to. I had the crawfish and my wife had the meat. We enjoyed every bite. I even tried the fried green... Nice place to have a Natchitoches meat pie with a bowl or cup of gumbo or beans and rice. Open for breakfast and lunch....crowded but has a very friendly and courteous waitstaff.

This is always the first stop when the wife and myself arrive in town. We arrive early enough to still order breakfast and this consists of meat pies and eggs. This place has the best meat pies in the entire town, is easy to find and has wonderful folks waiting on you. We love Marilyn who has been here about... More

Had to visit Lasyone's during our trip to Natchitoches. The meat and crawfish pies were the best in town. Reminded you of going back in time and eating at a down home restaurant. Red beans and rice were also excellent.

We were meeting my mom in Natchitoches for her birthday and decided to eat lunch here. Since we had a larger group, they seated us in the back room, which was nice for the kids. They gave us a sling for our car seat for the baby. The building is older, but I think it gives it charm and the... More

Meat pies from Lasyone's are the best. A unique local dish that can't be readily found in other states. It is a must try!! It is southern cooking at its best!!

We were told this was a must go to restaurant. The meat pie was a disappointment -- saving grace was the gravy that was served with dirty rice. Poured over the meat pie added some moistness and flavor to what was otherwise bland. The service started off on a questionable note but improved. We were there at the end of... More
