This place is good if you are looking for a "southern home cooked" meal. The portions are good, the squash is so good! It has to be loaded with sugar, but it's really good. The price is good for the amount of food you get. The service is good. The catfish is so so. But I will definitely stop here... More

Customer service was awesome, the pricing was reasonable and pretty cheap. I'm visiting from Houma and thought we could try a mom's and pops restaurant. The food was a bit bland for my taste but for the price it was ok.

The plate lunches are reasonably priced. The portions are huge. Breakfast is really what they do best! Last night was the first time I had ever been there for supper. I found the food so-so, but I am a very picky eater. My husband thought it was superb! I felt it was over-salted, and the mashed potatoes were obviously fake.... More

Very very good plate lunches. We had porkchops and 3 sides of freshly cooked vegetables - okra & tomatoes, turnip greens, mashed potatoes with side salad and rolls. Just like home cooked!

Roast beef w/ mashed potatoes, yams and super green beans. Friendly folks on the staff. Will go back on next visit. Easy to find about 3 miles from downtown.

This is old school stick to your ribs style of cooking. The lace is very simple and well worn. Waiters are local and ranged from comical to expaditus. It would be a diners drive in and dives kind of place. Kitchen is in view with glass surround with lots of cocking film. Was an interesting time.

A local favorite. The cooks really know how to cook! Busy parking lot is always a good sign. Never got anything I didn't love. Took a crew there last week when the Hot Air Balloon Nationals were in town. They loved it!

Wow! If you are looking for that home style breakfast you grew up eating at your grandmother's home, look no further this place is the real deal. If you walk out hungry it's your own fault.

Five stars for a grill with no bar sounds like an overly high rating, but in this category of food, there is none better. Southfield Grill is a diner where breakfast is served anytime, and the plate lunch/dinner changes through a weekly cycle. I frankly love their vegetables so much that I almost always get a four vegetable plate with... More

These folks did an outstanding job. We ordered breakfast; eggs, grits, biscuits (great), bacon, & hash-browns. All made in house and all excellent. In fact we were so impressed we carried lunch home for later! Service was very good, fast and friendly. Definitely a return visit in our future.
