A bit late in writing this review but went to watch the Six Nations Rugby with friends, Beer and food were excellent. We love the place and the staff. The best aspect is the way it is split into 3 - an area for drinking, a really nice feel to the restaurant, and a small barn for watching sport, all... More

We were recommended to this place, largely because we were looking for somewhere for Sunday Lunch and to watch Sky Sports during the afternoon, we also checked it out on the website and it looked good for food and cask ales. Atmosphere was good, people friendly, beer good but the place itself was very cold, lack of central heating it... More

It is worth making the trip to The George and Dragon at Shutford because the chef here knows what he's doing. Everything we had was cooked and obviously prepared with a little originality. It was all completely delicious and if I say I want to go again, its because I want to order some more food and also throw down... More

Called in on a Sunday lunch time and were very pleased to see that we could order a bar snack rather than having to order Sunday lunch or a main from the menu. We enjoyed tasty fish fingers and tartare sauce baguettes with fries for a reasonable £6. The service was very friendly and there was a good choice of... More

Enjoyed dinner here with my family, the owner Paul guided me through his different ales and suggested what we should have for dinner (mussels were great as was rest!). Our kids enjoyed the games available and I wouldn't hesitate on returning. Thanks for a lovely night!

The food was lovely and the staff very friendly and helpful. Wish we had eaten in the main resturant as opposed to the bar area. It became very busy very quickly and we felt like we were in the way of the locals.

There were 11 of us walking The Test Way and we had pre booked lunch on Friday 22nd April, the food was simply outstanding and in my opinion exceptionally good value for money and very well worth what it cost. The staff were exceptionally friendly, the beer, brewed in the village was quite brilliant. The food was FINE DINING but... More
