Myself and my husband went for dinner here tonight, I was worried about going as I can't eat anything with gluten in it (I know it can be difficult to be catered for) the lady serving us was so helpful looking through the menu with...More

The Boathouse is an attractive lower ground floor restaurant accessed off the High St with great views out over the Forth Estuary and bridges. Internal ambience is nice albeit a bit spartan with hard surfaces making it a bit noisy when full. Staff are attentive,...More

TripAdvisor says vegan options are available, but not when we asked when we were there. Other local restaurants can do it though. Shame as the views are amazing.

There is a staircase from the street that goes down to the restaurant and there is access from the riverside as well and that too involves stairs also. The restaurant has huge windows looking out on to the river which lets... More

Hi, the Boathouse doesn't offer pre-theatre llunches or meals available as it is in South Queensferry and the nearest theatre would be Edinburgh or Dunfermline. If in Edinburgh there are loads of places around the Playhouse... More
