I was lucky enough to win a meal here. The seafood is truly amazing, especially the soft shell crabs. The people who had steaks raved about them too.Generous portions, friendly staff and the most delicious raspberry brûlée. Highly recommended!

Time for a family get together - so its time for a lunch at South Queensferry in a place with good food and an excellent view of the Forth. The four of us enjoyed a mix of the tapas (for two) and fish & chips (for adult and a child). Empty plates said it all. Then came the sticky toffee... More

Booked table for midday, arriving a bit early we were welcomed in out of the cold while the staff were setting up. Lovely views across the river and bridges. Food some of the best I've eaten in a sea food restaurant . A must visit if in area great staff , great food. Very comfy and reasonable priced.

We visited here on South Queensferry Gala Day with family. The menu was good with a nice selection for children. Service was prompt and friendly too. They have a nice balcony area but we didn't sit outside as it was a dull day and a bit chilly. They have a great view of the Railway Bridge. Recommended.

We live 10 miles away but had not been back since it was taken over, renovated & upgraded. We were not disappointed, from start to finish. Personal service at the planning stage from the main man Paul, which continued via him & other staff throughout until the evening itself. No attention to detail was overlooked, flexibility was always present, &... More

As part of a party of four I enjoyed a great meal while watching the sun set over the Forth. We enjoyed squid, pate and haggis starters which were all quite large - and very tasty. For mains: a salmon linguine special; seafood curry; pork belly; and beef on a barley risotto. All excellent, and really well cooked. Delicious flavours.... More

We had lunch here. The frontage -on the Main Street of South Queensferry -isn't imposing and the bistro is accessed down a flight of stairs. The restaurant isn't huge but we were lucky enough to get a table next to the window. The views over the Forth and in particular the road and rail bridges is awesome. There is even... More

Excellent evening at The Boathouse. Staff welcoming, took our coats and showed us to our table by the window which gave us a wonderful panoramic view of the bridges. Starters of bruschetta and mussels (huge mussels!) in tomato/chilli were both very tasty. Mains of scallops & black pudding and a hot seafood platter also superb. Large portions thus we had... More
