Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Good morning Robyn, thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback. We're delighted you had a lovely day out visiting Craigies cafe after your visit to the allotment and we hope to welcome you back soon for another coffee. Kindest regards, Megan

Coffee was really good and staff were welcoming. If a family of 4 adults are attending with 1 child we thought the price was overpriced - not reasonable - 3 adults just wanted coffee and to see little one play - no allowance for this...and therefore extremely overpriced !More

Arrived at 11.30 and told we may need to wait 30 mins, which we said was OK. We ordered bacon rolls and coffee and asked that they be served together. 1 hour later the coffee arrived and we had finished the coffee by the time...the rolls arrived!! The waitress Helen was really apologetic and was as helpful as she could be, but the fault was not with her and I hope she is valued as she was really trying her best. Completely unacceptable.More

Enjoyed a beautiful afternoon tea here this afternoon for Mother's Day. The food was lovely, everything was of great quality and you could tell it was all freshly prepared using their own produce. We unfortunately couldn't manage it all so took the rest home in...a box. The girl serving couldn't have been more accommodating, as was the lady who greeted us on arrival. A pleasant afternoon all round.More

Firstly let me say, I love Craigie’s Farm! I love the cafe and the farm shop. Both are top notch. However, on this occasion, my self and my daughter (15) were meeting family (2 adults and 1 4yo) for coffee and a catch up in...“The Little Farm” play area. Myself and my 15 year old daughter were charged £14 for the privilege of a table and a chair to sit in, which included one filter coffee or cup of tea each (15yo does not drink tea or coffee). I am sorry but this is an absolutely ridiculous price! I understand paying for children to play, absolutely no problem. And of course, I would expect to pay for food and drink whilst there but £14 to even enter the building with no children of playing age is daylight robbery. Be ashamed of this Craigie’s and please do better!!! Even if we had been spending time with any of the animals (which I believe you can) £7 each is still expensive. Maybe consider a tiered approach to your charges and people would respect you more. Feels like you got a bit big for your boots. Hate leaving less than favourable feedback but feel it was warranted on this occasion - sorry.More

Disappointing service and staff that were not really bothered. The cafe was quite so there was no excuses of staff being busy! Had to send main meal back as it was cold and when we ordered cakes after our meal we waited 15 min's before...I had to go and ask a member of staff where our order of 2 cakes and a pot of hot water was only to be told 5 min's later the order hadn't went through and she would put it through again, by this time our teas and coffee were finished so we were't wanting cakes with nothing to drink, there was no offer of refills as an apology all I got was if you don't want to wait I can box them up for you to take away (most likely charging full price). Completely there fault this order didn't go through and the girl who served us didn't even notice we were still waiting I had to ask. Won't be back in a hurry as I would hate to have seen the level of service if they had been busy.More

Went to the playbarn on 2nd March with family and a 2.5 year old. Usually love the playbarn but on arrival today tables and floor were incredibly dirty with discarded food everywhere. There was not a single usable high chair due to mess. We went...to play and my child had a good time (there could be more for the younger age group but it’s a lovely play area). Was quite disappointed that a group of older children seemed to commandeer the play area, throwing the plastic fruit, telling younger children they weren’t allowed in certain areas and pushing them out the way. I understand children should be supervised by their adult but the staff (who were walking around) didn’t intervene even when toys were being thrown around. We decided to take our child for something to eat to get out of the way but the lunch menu ended at 3 so there was limited choice. Around 2 slices of cake available and 1 scone. When we asked if they had anything left in the kitchen they said no and what was out was all that was available which was a bit disappointing. We love craigies and will be back but this wasn’t our best visit.More

My Daughter’s birthday party was at this establishment. Freya took care of all our needs and was amazing and so friendly. Freya kept coming up to the party room to make sure everything was okay and to see if we needed anything. The pony groom...included in the party package was amazing and there was an extra bit of magic added to the encounter with a unicorn horn attached to the pony which I thought was such an awesome thing for my daughter to experience. Prior to the party I called ahead to see if I was able to get some extra time for my events management to set up the display for my daughter this was agreed with no fuss at all and staff were lovely. Will definitely be booking here again for future events while also recommending to friends and family.More
