Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited last weekend with my family .. lunch for 3 of us. Such a lovely place and first impressions were good. Staff accommodating, clean, tidy and warm. Not sure what happened after that .. We decided to order 2 grazing boards - one meat and...one cheese. There was some confusion about plates as we tried to explain we were going to split between us. Eventually sorted. However, when the boards arrived, we were already planning our next meal. Cheese .. 3 TINY bits and 4 oatcakes with a thimble of chutney. Much the same with the 'charcuterie' (possibly worse as value for money goes) . It was my treat for my visiting nieces and I seriously thought we had been given 'half and half' and would be billed accordingly .. nearly £13 for each plate was extortionate, no matter how lovely the place and staff were. Im really curious to know if this is the norm because other plates of food brought out to fellow lunchers (not grazing boards) seemed more than adequate.More

Another great visit to Craigie’s, this time for breakfast. Family of four enjoyed a very tasty combination of full cooked breakfasts and filled morning rolls (with haggis, delicious). Food was very well presented and all tasted amazing. Lovely service too. Of course, a visit here...isn’t complete without buying some goodies from the farm shop! Looking forward to our next visit.More

Great food and good service. Went to Craigies for the pick your own pumpkins and then stopped by the cafe and shop afterword. The food at the cafe was great and reasonably priced. It was easy enough to get to Craigies from Edinburgh, just go...on the 43 and then a quick 15 minute walk to the site.More

Went for a Halloween event with family. Everyone left disappointed. For the amount of money we paid we were expecting to have at least a good hour of entertaining night but what we got was 5 min walk through muddy tunnels with Halloween decorations ,...not much effort provided to give the visitors the best experience. The extras like buying a pumpkin or marshmallows very overpriced. Very sadMore

Used to be great but really gone down hill. The system for the cafe does not work, queuing over 20 minutes to get seated then awaiting 30 minutes to have our order taken. Overall 1 hour and 10 minutes to have a cup of tea...and scone to the table. The staff looked so stressed as just not enough of them. Prices aren’t cheap but would be worth it if food was nice & better service.More

Went pumpkin picking here. We were packed in like sardines, we had to go somewhere else as couldn't fit in the cafe. This was frustrating as I didn't want to have to go anywhere else. We paid 23 for 2 people and you didn't even...get a pumpkin at the end. They were approx £20 each extra! And maybe I'm being silly but are you not supposed pick the pumpkins? It was just a muddy field with already picked pumpkins lying in it. Would not recommend at all. Total money pit and the experience isn't even enjoyable. Love strawberry picking - half the price, double the time and you get fruit at the end.More

We’ve visited craiges a few times now and quite pleased with this place! The apples are Delish and one of our favourites and the highland cows are beautiful! Pumpkin picking was more expensive this year it felt but as excepted. These are grown themselves so...not mad to pay extra! They had so much on offer this year with the spooky tunnels which looked amazing. Halloween decor was brilliant the whole feel and vibe visiting to pick pumpkins was great. Definitely worth a visit and remember home grown is always a little more expensiveMore

This place used to be fantastic, but since it’s expanded it regularly disappoints. Visited today. Huuuuuge car park busy but certainly not full, so crowds are clearly encouraged. Cafe busy, but still plenty free tables for those arriving behind us. However the staff were clearly...struggling to keep up with who had arrived when. People were getting narked because the system for keeping track of who was next was obviously broken. The staff looked fed up, as they often do these days. The hot food orders were clearly being prioritised over hot beverages. After 25 minutes of waiting, and watching other peoples’ coffees sitting on the counter going lukewarm, we could see that there was no sign of a resolution. There was no sign of our order in the ones that were sitting on the counter, or I would have offered to collect it myself. So we left. It’s a great shame when something that used to be so good and so special has expanded to beyond its ability to function efficiently.More

I visited today with my 5 year old daughter and we did the spooky tunnels, pumpkin picking and little farmers. The spooky tunnels were fantastic, the lady who read the stories was absolutely brilliant! My daughter loved her! We spent around 45 minutes In thr...tunnels and playing the games and then we spent 30 mins on the pumpkin patch 🎃. We visited thr shop, lots of lovely good items to buy! We then visited Little Farmers and had lunch there. My daughter loved the play area, both indoors and outdoors. Lunch was great, I had macaroni cheese and my daughter had a kids grazing plate. We went in to the farm area and she got to feed sheep and see horses pigs rabbits and guinea pigs. We spent 4 hours in total at Craigies A really great day out , would highly recommend 😊😊More

There is an outdoor area for dogs but unable to take them into the shop unless it’s a guide dog . Cafe at the moment has to be booked but I think you might be able to get a takeaway to sit out at the dog area .
