Bad just bad. Like worst sushi. I dont know how people rate this as high as they do. The only reason i gave it 2 was purely for the very excellent service we received from the most genuinely friendly girl.

After hearing great reviews about this restaurant, we went there for lunch today. We were the only ones there for the first 20-30 minutes, and although the waitress was helpful in explaining the menu, that was where her service ended. Our soup and salad were delivered by one of the chefs, and when our meal was delivered by our waitress,... More

Stopped while traveling to Bar Harbor as it was a convenient stopping point. It is in a strip mall and does not look like much from the outside, but we were glad we did not let that deter us. Our party ordered a variety, salads, chicken tatsute age, california roll, various other rolls, and a dumpling soup. Everyone was happy.... More

I frequently dine at Ichiban. I absolutely love sushi and I have tried ever place in Bnagor and Brewer. Ichiban trumps all! So many options, delicious food, and great service!

This has long been my favorite of the three Japanese restaurants in the area, but not for atmosphere. That said, the service is OK but the sushi and noodle dishes are top notch. When we left, another couple outside said we can get better sushi at another restaurant. No!

I've been coming here for about 15 years now and always Is wonderful. Miso soup comes out very hot and flavorful. Salad dressing is consistently amazing. Fish is always very fresh and rice is done to perfection. Will continue to come here for many more years. Great atmosphere and traditional music. Love it!

Simple online take out made for easy choices. No confirmation number to write down just show up . Ready within the half hour that I ordered and steaming hot. Clean and tastefully decorated inside.I was very pleased with my order. The dinner box portion was enough for one to be satisfied and was done to perfection .

Sushi was fresh (very import when it comes to sushi) and the katsu chicken was on delicious. I would definitely recommend ichiban for Japanese food.

We started eating at Ichiban more than 10 years ago, regularly, either take-out or eat-in. We don't get to Bangor as often as we used - once a week at one time - but Ichiban remains a favorite nearly every time we have dinner in Bangor.

My husband and I went here last night for our anniversary and were not disappointed. I had read reviews for several Japanese restaurants in the area and after much deliberation decided to try Ichiban. We were not disappointed. First of all our waitress was both friendly and knowledgable about the menu. She was able to reccomend dishes once she knew... More
