I always order onion rings at every restaurant I visit since they are a "tell" as to the quality of the food and the effort of the staff. Schutty's stands out as the best in the area because they are hand cut,, battered and fried perfectly. That attention to something as trivial as onion rings is reflected in the quality... More

We stopped at Schutty's in a hunger pang. Have been before but first time this year. Lobster roll, fries, clams and chowda can't be beet. Great quality and value for price.

I'm not sure what happened but the quality and quantity of food has gone down. At the beginning of the season, oh my, j could have eaten there every day. Everything rated fresh and the serving size was fabulous. Now it seems the past few times I've been the taste is dull, and the serving size quantity of fried clams... More

As a New England resident, I have had lots of seafood at clam/lobster/crab shacks, but none better than at Schutty's. (Even Captain Scott's in New London isn't better, though it might be as good.) This place is a small food trailer parked in a lot out in the middle of nowhere, where you eat in your car or on picnic... More

I've been to Shutty's the past couple of summers and thought it was good and a decent value. This past visit was very disappointing. I got fish tacos that were supposed to have an asian slaw and sauce but instead I got a mound of very soggy cole slaw in a tortilla and a sauce that did not taste good.... More

This place is great! Delicious food at a good price. Bring a couple beers and sit on the picnic tables. I highly recommend the scallop quesadilla.

I had my heart set on scallops - well they ran out of scallops (great for a seafood restaurant) and it was only noon. So I settled for a BLT. It was advertised as "stacked high". I assumed that it was stacked with bacon, but NO, it was stacked high with lettuce. I could only fine 2 -12 strips of... More

This little gem of a spot is only open in the summer and the food is spectacular! No frozen processed here! Just fresh delicious seafood prepared in so many fabulous and different ways! Family run and friends as well!
