Staying in a nearby cabin for some outdoor activities and ventured North into town looking for a place to eat. Most of the 20+ buildings are closed down or empty. We saw the mailman pull into Thompsons and decided to follow him and give it...More
We drove up from Gardiner, where we're renting a cottage on Pleasant Pond -- not the Pleasant Pond near Bingham, but a different one further south. We wanted to experience the fall foliage in its full splendor, and we truly did, as in this part...More

Great little home cooking restaurant like we used to have. NO BAR TVS. it was great. All home cooking from their own donuts and berry muffins, country breakfast, to Sunday dinner fare. You won't be disappointed.
I stopped at Thompson's Restaurant in Bingham as I was very hungry and hadn't passed a restaurant in awhile. I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious haddock chowder, good service, and local atmosphere. If I'm in the area again, I'd certainly stop.
We were off for a Sunday ride with my parents and made this a destination. It was just wonderful!! Food was excellent as was the service. There was even a person going around with HOT donut holes. Wonderful. Yum!!
Very accommodating of requests and friendly. Fresh pies, good burgers. Hand cut fries, sweet or white potato, and nice beer and wine section.
