My husband and I visited this local restaurant with friends for dinner. They use foods from local farms and all of their food is gluten free. They also have a small theatre which seats about 50 people. The night we were there they were showing Ron Howard's Beatles movie the touring years. Great show, good food an enjoyable evening. If... We were six people of three different generations (ages 9 to 79). Everyone was treated in a friendly, considerate way by our waitress, who was knowledgeable about even esoteric subjects, such as the differences between the various micro-brew ales that are offered. Although the restaurant was completely full, everything we ordered came promptly. Only a few slight shortcomings in the... More

That you can over-order. We went to Frontier particularly to see a friend's photographs on display. This is one of the nice thinks about the place, which offers a changing selection of films, performances, and exhibits, as well as good food in an informal atmosphere. Baked onion starter was fabulous, and Brussels sprouts good, too. I must confess that my... More

The building itself is cool. Old mill with good views. Have gone now several times and the food has always been good. Very fresh and consistent. Had a gnocchi dish that was outstanding. Service has been ok. One server seemed a little aloof about the menu. Ask to sit at the bar. I think they are best seats in the... More

We recently went to the Frontier Cafe for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The food was delicious and the service very friendly. I would love to return if I am in the area again.

Frontier has a great rustic feel and an eclectic vibe. The local performance theater is really cool with row-length tables in front of every seat, turning it into a casual dinner theater practically. The building is great, a bit cacophonous I would agree so wouldn't recommend for a romantic dinner but more for with friends and family. Not thrilled that... More

this was such an amazing place to eat. Our server was very attentive and we sat at this cute bar area overlooking the water. Food was outstanding and worth every penny. It was so relaxing and could have been there for hours. will definitely return on a future getaway!

We stumbled upon this gem while driving up to Rockland. The atmosphere is modern, warehouse-y/industrial, the restaurant was busy but not loud. Menu was extensive. I had some type of LoMein type dish with peanut sauce which was DELICIOUS. Husband had a fish sandwich that he was not as in love with... said it was a little bland. Space also... More

My husband & I enjoy this restaurant but it is truly aggravating to be told upon calling that the wait is 40 minutes or longer and our name cannot be added to the wait list until we are physically there. So, we get there and the waiting area and bar are full so we are standing around for 40 minute... More

A beautiful fall day for lunch. Bright sun and blue sky. Excellent soup of the day, beets and carrots with cumin, and cinnamon. A great fall soup. The menu identifies any gluten free item with a G. The fish and chips are gluten free and excellent. Light, crisp breading using rice flour on the fish.
