We stayed at the Inn and took a cooking class, so ate here four times. While everything was good, the highlight was the chef's tasting dinner. Everything was delicious, very fresh flavors, beautifully presented, and the service was excellent. We will definitely return when in the area.

We enjoyed the Chef's Tasting Menu. It started with mushroom ravoli in white sauce that melted in your mouth. This was followed by a creamy Lobster Bisque. We are from the area and have had lobster bisque in numerous restaurants but by far this one is the BEST. The next course was a blueberry sorbet. Its taste was so light,... More

I have stay here twice now with my good friend. We stay in the main inn the first time and in a suite the second time. Both were comfortable spacious and clean. Love the cocktails they serve in the evening and the breakfasts and five course meal are wonderful! Am hoping to go back this winter for another two night... More

We arrived early and enjoyed drink specials in the parlor, which included a delicious hors d oeuvres. After we were seated, we enjoyed a culinary delight of the Chef's Tasting from beginning to end, which included the Lobster Stew, Pork Chop with Mash Potatoes, Gingerbread soufflé.

Complimentary breakfast were the most wonderful breakfasts we've ever had anywhere! And the chef was even willing to give away tips on how he created them, to boot. Definitely a pleasure to learn them.We also had one dinner there and it was also wonderful, and we didn't even bother the chef that night. Wait staff and others were most gracious... More

This was our 3rd time returning to the Hartstone Inn. It is our favorite close by getaway which never disappoints. The staff is wonderful, rooms are beautiful with the most comfortable beds. We had an exquisite dinner which is never rushed. I highly recommend this beautiful Inn and there are many activities to do in any season.

The Hartstone Inn is one of our favorite places for an elegant, unrushed, special dinner. The service and quality of food can not be beat. It is clear that the owners have taken pride in their food, the presentation, the taste and the quality. Our favorite, of course, is the soufflé desserts which vary each day, but be forewarned.....they ARE... More

A pleasant surprise, in the heart of downtown Camden. Located in a historic B&B, the restaurant offers fine dining with some creative flourishes. My wife ordered a ubiquitous lobster risotto (remember, it's Maine, right?) and I decided to take the road less traveled and ordered a Thai marinated flank steak. The risotto was excellent and my steak was just okay.... More

Very impressed with high quality of drinks and food. Our martinis scored big time. Our starters of seared scallops were the tastiest we have eaten in years. For our main dish we both ordered salmon and it was perfect on a small bed of rice with carrots. The pumpkin cheesecake with gingersnap crust and fresh whipped cream was to-die-for. The... More

Outstanding in every way!! I had read the reviews while planning this trip and those reviews were "spot on." There were five of us and we each had a different entree----each beautifully and artfully plated and served and each delicious in its own way. The lobster/crab bisque a "must try!" Simply scrumptious. Our waitress was very helpful, friendly,l and accommodating.... More
