We went to schooner's for dinner to have seafood on the Damariscotta River. We were seated fairly quickly in the screened in dining room which was quite nice. The view was great and there was a nice breeze moving through the dining room. The only problem were the mosquitoes which is a problem everywhere! The waiter was at our table... More

My friends and I spent three days for lunch during a week long visit to Damariscata. The water views, friendly service and fresh tasty seafood was the reason we kept coming back. Fish sandwich of haddock, oysters Rockefeller, lobster rolls, sliders and the best clam chowder I have had in a long time to name a few of highlights. Location... More

We enjoyed our dinner at the Schooner Landing Restaurant in Damariscotta. The seafood chowder was absolutely amazing - as was the fried haddock. Good food and service.

Went to the Schooner with some friends on a Friday evening. The views and breeze was great. Lobster rolls, steaks and chicken were all ordered. Lobster roll was very nice lots of lobster just the right amount of mayo on a toasted roll. Steak was good, chicken was moist. Potato salad and Cole slaw were the sides. I ate everyones... More

Large indoor including a screened in porch and outdoor seating area on the Damariscotta River. Great views.Dog friendly I finally tried the local oysters, farmed right near the restaurant. Coming from the Chesapeake Bay region, I have tried a lot of oysters. in my day. While they were very pricey, $15 for 1/2 dozen, they were very good. This time... More

The location is fantastic, the time to your table was great. We sat at our table for at least 15 minutes before a gentleman asked if we had been waited on. We were soon waited on by a very cheerful waitress. Our orders were taken, and soon our dinner were at the table. I must say, even though it is... More

The fish and chips were large morsels of haddock in a nice, light batter (as opposed to fish fillets). The fish was moist and not over cooked. The serving size was average. The french fries were good, not greasy but the chicken strips, on the other hand, were over done, very crispy and the chicken a bit dry. The fried... More

We stopped here on the way back from Pemaquid Point (not much open there as it was Labor Day.) It was great to be able to be seated on the waterfront deck and feel the breeze off the Damariscotta River, and see the boats. Service was friendly but not obtrusive -- just the right number of checkins by our server.... More

Certainly nothing fancy, and go early because they (like most of the town) close early. Simple and down-to-earth, but well done seafood and very tender lobster (some other Mainers overcook it to a point of too tough to eat). We had lobster rolls, calamari, and fried shrimp - all were wonderful.
