Back in New England looking for a taste of great seafood...didn't find it here. Although it was posted that the clam chowder was award winning, it was a huge letdown - no flavor and a thin broth. Lobster roll - a few very small claws in the bottom or a limp roll...don't know if this was just not a good... More

Spent the day in Freeport with my kids and wanted to treat myself to some Maine seafood. Got the special which was fish and chips with a side of clam chowder. Pieces of fish seemed like they were glorified fish sticks, not the piece of fish I thought I'd be getting. Chowder was OK, plenty of clams but they were... More

As a couple we were visiting Freeport and stopped at this little place on a side street. The man working there was very nice and we decided on the lobster roll since we had not had lobster yet. We also had the clam chowder and the corn chowder. My clam chowder was very good however my husband didn't care for... More

We were just looking for a quick place to have dinner in downtown Freeport. Looking around a corner we spotted this small place that claimed to have been voted "Best Chowder in Freeport." The young man taking the order took the money and did the cooking. First indication that there was really no "cook" at all. It was blisteringly hot... More

My visit was in '14, but I still remember it being a terrific spot. Not wanting a big dinner at the end of the day, I spied this place while walking from L.L. Bean and decided to give it a try. I was at first going to get a lobster roll, but decided instead to get the fish and chips... More

I would not agree with their sign that says "voted best clam chowder". It was average at best; not much flavor.

Food was amazing last year. This year was okay at best. Booths were replaced with bar style seating making it impossible for elderly or handicap limited patrons to sit inside.

Cups of chowder very good. Found the bread bowls too much!!! Past couple of visits not as enjoyable. Music was too loud and young people engaged in their own conversation. Had to wait to order while they were engaged in conversation.

I stopped in here while Christmas shopping on a drizzly December afternoon. The chowder was perfect and gave me the strength to keep on shopping!
