I stopped here for a Guinness before going on to Kinsale. Belgooly's tiny, hardly a village, and there's a lovely church up the road that had nice stained glass. Anyway, Huntsman is a handsome restaurant and bar -- I loved the decor, something out of Town and Country Magazine. The bartender was the owner's daughter, and they were both exceedingly... More

If you pass through Belgooly on your way to Kinsale and other scenic spots, you are likely to miss the Huntsman bar and restaurant on the left as you leave the village. However, take the trouble to stop there for a meal, as the food is excellent, the staff are friendly and the prices are reasonable.

We visited here on our way back to Cork from Kinsale, Sunday Roast and Fish and Chips were excellent, really hit the spot. Light batter on the fish and very well presented. Great food, lovely lady called Kathleen served us. Don't judge the book by the cover, while the outside could do with a freshen up, weeds need to be... More

Our Gate1 tour guide brought our whole group here & bought us a drink...nice. Loved the charm. Plenty of seating for all 39 of us. I was very impressed with how quickly the staff served us...all the while sporting great smiles. They even prepared several snacks for us. Seems like the perfect place to dine or just come at a... On a day out in Kinsale my Friend and I called to the Huntsman Bar and restaurant for lunch. It was quite busy. The staff were nice and friendly and made us feel welcome. We had beautiful homemade soup and lovely fresh salad sandwiches. we will definately call there again.

The Huntsman has the best food around the Cork area. It is family owned and run, and the service is as delightful as the food. If you've the luck of the Irish, you will get there on a night when they are serving their wonderful Mushroom Soup...if it's on the menu, don't miss it!

This place is great from the employees and food to even the building. The food is excellent and with large portions. The staff is friendly and owners Tom and Kathy ( and even their two children) make you feel welcome. They also pour the best pint of Murphy's in Ireland.

My wife and I stopped by for a quick bite on our way into Cork. I had seen The Huntsman reviewed previously on TA and thought I'd give it a shot. We were the only two diners at noon. The Huntsman exudes the charm of an Irish pub and our waitress did as well. The food was simple but wonderful,... More
