Stopped by for a quick minute to grab some bread for the hotel room at night. Grabbed the baguette and it was incredible. Crusty outside airy in the middle. Will definitely return on our visit to Portland

I have been here many, many times and have yet to eat anything not worthy of five stars. The marinated olive loaf is a must buy when they have it, and their French bread is perfect. Stop in and get something before heading out on a ferry through Casco Bay.

Standard baking specializes in creating really amazing and hearty breads. Whatever they just took out of the over is your best bet, and grab a baguette to take home. Some deserty options, but go there for the bread.

Great bakery in fun old building. The pastries, cookies and breads are excellent. The croissants are very traditional. I have their baking book and have tried many recipes out of it. So delicious that my friends think that I'm a real baker! Wish the bakery had more of a variety on a day to day basis.

You;'lol think you are in France when you break off a hunk of the Standard Baking baguette. Not to mention Almond Croissants that are a perfect combo of buttery, flaky and almondy-sweet. All that is needed is a cup of French Roast - and you can get that there, too!

These aren't my words, they are from a friend visiting from Cannes. Great breads and baked goods, nice people work there. It's a "shouldn't miss" if you are visiting Portland. There are tables outside during good weather, but it's a bakery, not a sit down restaurant.

Nestled somewhat behind the Hilton Garden Inn. Younger group of enthusiastic workers. Neat little place as it is pretty open so you see them preparing the various items. Prepare all kinds of breads, muffins, etc. My wife loves their granola. They have some craft coffee as well. Take a few moments stop in and grab something to snack on .
